People who take great pleasure in opening the way for others to experience Jesus.
Door Holders do whatever is necessary to make a way for people to encounter Jesus. While that often does not require holding physical doors, it does require a relentless willingness to serve and a desire to set a tone that points others to Jesus. Door Holders may find themselves helping setup environments, checking in church groups, welcoming and directing students, carrying out logistical operations, and serving in any number of ways to create an intentional atmosphere.
Anyone who has completed one year of college or is one year removed from high school is welcome to apply. All Door Holders must complete a Door Holder Application and pass a background check before serving.
Passion Camp will take place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Door Holder Check-In and a mandatory Door Holder meeting will be held on the night of June 10 at 7:00pm at the Ocean Center. Passion Camp will end once we have cleared everything out of the building in the morning hours of Friday, June 15th.
Passion Camp is open to groups of middle school and high school students. It is created for rising 7th graders through graduated seniors.
As a part of Passion Camp, you will receive lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday. Breakfast, transportation, and lodging will be on your own. We’ll send you more information about hotel suggestions and how to connect with other Door Holders for transportation if your Door Holder application is accepted.
While you will often have to show up earlier and stay later, we expect your schedule to relatively mirror the camp schedule. The primary exception to that is the initial arrival time. All Door Holders must arrive in Daytona Beach on Sunday, June 10 for a Door Holder meeting at 7:00pm at the Ocean Center.
