Yes. We are excited that Community Groups will be a part of Passion 2017!
A Community Group is where the big gathering in the arena becomes small and personal. Your Community Group will be a major highlight of Passion 2017. Each Community Group is led by a phenomenal pastor/leader from around the country, and you will gather with your Community Group four times throughout Passion 2017. Leaders have their own Community Group.
During Passion 2017, Jesus is going to be doing so much in your life that you will need a place to process. Your family group is that place. It’s a group of 8 people from all over the country and the world, praying for one other, processing what God is doing in their hearts, and making plans for the road ahead. We believe that Community Groups and family groups are a vital part of Passion 2017, and that God is going to use the people in your group to have a major influence on your life!
We appreciate your interest, however, we do not offer exhibitor space at our gatherings.
We do not allow professional cameras (DSLR or with a detachable lens), flash photography, or video or audio recordings during Main Sessions, as we desire that everyone be free from distraction to experience Passion 2017.

We use the term “Door Holder” instead of the word “volunteer.” The term is borrowed from Psalm 84:10, which speaks of being a door keeper in the house of God. Door Holders at Passion conferences are individuals who have experienced God’s glory and now want to hold the doors to allow others to enter in. This is the heart and attitude we want our Door Holders to assume – one of service in preparing the way for others to have a powerful experience with Jesus. Door Holder is a term that encompasses all who serve at Passion gatherings. All volunteers are considered Door Holders, not just those on our Touch team who hold physical doors.
You may apply to be a Door Holder if you are over the age of 25. For the gathering to be possible, we need Door Holders who are willing to serve throughout the entire conference in various roles. You may complete a Door Holder application here.
We want students to be able to fully experience the conference. Door Holders work hard behind the scenes throughout the entire gathering, serving the students who are participating; therefore, we ask all students to attend Passion 2017
The first step to becoming a Door Holder at Passion 2017 is to complete the application. You may complete a Door Holder application here.
You will not need to purchase a ticket to serve at Passion 2017, but Door Holders are responsible for their own travel expenses and meals, with the exception of lunch on Tuesday, which will be provided for Door Holders and attendees.
Your schedule for the conference will depend on your specific team assignment, which will be communicated by your Team Lead. You should be prepared to be available for any shift.
We realize that emergencies sometimes arise and alter your availability to serve. If you apply and later find out that you cannot serve, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can fill your position. Teams experience significant challenges if notice is not given, so the earlier you can let us know, the better.
Passion 2017 is designed for college students, high school seniors, and their leaders. If you are a college pastor, you and your students will benefit most from you participating in the gathering with them.
Serving at Passion 2017 does not allow for much participation in the conference itself. Please come willing to serve and fully aware that there may not be time to attend the gathering.
We encourage Door Holders to stay near the venue due to the full schedule of Passion 2017. We have negotiated discounted rates for Passion Door Holders in downtown hotels, which are listed in the email you receive once your Door Holder application has been processed. We strongly advise that you wait to make any non-refundable travel plans until you receive your team assignment.
A boxed lunch will be provided for Door Holders on the Tuesday of Passion 2017.
You will need to arrive in time for a mandatory Door Holder meeting on January 2 at 9am. We ask that you make every effort to attend. If you absolutely cannot, we will have a second meeting on January 1 at 9:00am.
If you are able to serve before January 2, we will be preparing the environments for students and it will take several days to fully set up for Passion 2017. If you would like to help with load-in, please indicate on your application the days you are available prior to January 2.
When the gathering ends, our teams begin breaking down the different conference environments. We ask that all Door Holders be available until 5pm on January 4 to assist with load-out.
Door Holders are not utilized in these areas; however, if you are 26 or older, we’d love for you to apply to serve on another Door Holder team!
Attendees should fly to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
