If you’re headed to The Dome for Passion 2012, or joining us online, here’s the latest info you need to make your arrival/stay as smooth as possible.  Please make sure everyone in your crew sees this BEFORE you arrive at The Dome!  Here we go.  For the latest, follow Passion on twitter @Passion268.

1.  Passion 2012 main sessions will be streamed live from our 2012 website.  Watch the LIVE STREAM tab for start up at 7p, Monday, January 2.  Streaming is FREE, but we ask that you make a donation to our Do Something Now FREEDOM cause.  A link will be on the streaming page.

2. Passion 2012 is officially SOLD OUT, with more than 44,000+ headed to The Dome.  Listings for resell tickets can be found on Passion’s FaceBook page.  (For those who want to know, yes, The Dome holds more people, but our set-up had to comply with certain specs so that we could start within 24 hours of a football game and is limited to 44,000+.)

3. Gonna be lots of people…more than Passion 2011 Atlanta and Ft. Worth combined.  Give yourself EXTRA time.  Don’t try to cut it close.

4. Could be cold. Highs in 40’s and low’s in 20’s. Dress warm.

5. Registration opens at 2p in Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C (Northside Drive side). If staying close by in downtown, park at hotel first and walk to registration.  If driving, head to GWCC and follow signs.  You will receive a wristband, credentials, Passion 2012 book and a friendly welcome at registration!  If you arrive after 7p on January 1, do not go to The Dome, head to the GWCC info desks to check in and get your wristband.  Wristband is required for entry.

6. To make entry into The Dome faster, travel light.  Purses, backpacks and bags will be checked. NO HIGH END CAMERAS. NO VIDEO. NO FOOD. NO BEVERAGES. (medical exceptions will be addressed case by case).

7. Follow the journey right up to the start of the opening session at 7p, January 1 at Acclimate: A Journey of Worship and Word To The Dome.  If you haven’t logged on already, you’re missing out!

8. Your 2012 registration IS transferable.  Log into your account and change the name.

9. Do Something Now is how Passion weds worship and justice.  Come prepared to help the homeless of Atlanta by bringing new/like new towels and socks.  Drop these off at registration.

10. As well, we will be joining forces at Passion 2012 to raise $1 million to help release the 27 million men, women and children trapped in Human Slavery locally and globally.  Check out our partner causes, watch the FREEDOM movie trailer and come prepared to engage and give!

11. Can’t make it to Atlanta. Give toward our FREEDOM project at the link above.

12. There will be a Digital All Access Pass available for sale at the conference and online, containing all the main session talks, bonus material and the live Passion 2012 album to be released in March.  This is a must have resource and cost is a ridiculously low $25! More details available during Live Stream–see #1.

13. If you can swing it at this late hour, stay downtown.  Rooms are becoming available and some will cancel their reservations leading up to January 1. Check with downtown hotels, check the Passion Facebook page and look to upgrade your location to a closer hotel.  Your Passion experience will be so much better.  If you do stay in the suburbs, allow extra travel time in morning rush hour.  Community Groups start each morning at 9 AM and these are a vital part of the Passion experience.  Give yourself extra time!

14. A lot of questions can be answered by simply checking out the Passion 2012 website. :)

15. If you have a commute to Atlanta for the conference, download and listen to the Passion Podcast on the way. You’ll get caught up on the pre-Passion info and movement!

16. Pray and prepare  We may be meeting in a Dome, but this is no bowl game or concert.  God’s gonna rock the place and wreck our hearts.  Get ready.  Prepare.  Acclimate.
