Together, We Are A Force For Good!
The heartbeat of the Passion Movement is not simply about filling arenas, but a generation mobilized to carry the message of God’s fame to the unreached, oppressed and forgotten wherever they are on the planet.
To that end, one of the five statements of the 268 Declaration is:
Willingness To Shine The Gospel To All People—
Because God is seeking worshipers of all peoples, I will spread His fame among the nations, fully participating in His global purposes while engaging poverty and injustice in Jesus’ name.
[God, kindle in me the desire to go anywhere, at anytime, at any cost, to do anything to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.]
While the worship at Passion is vital, it is not an end in itself. Rather, our songs and anthems are fuel for our journey to the nations. Thus, Do Something Now is front and center in all we do, a major component of every gathering.
At Passion 2010 we introduced 12 partner organizations with causes totaling $500,000. Our goal was not pledges for the future, but giving on site together in four days. In the end (and this number will continue to grow), the total passed on to our 12 partners includes:
Building an education center for the Dalit people of India through Operation Mobilization. Goal–$75,000. Given–$92,753.91.
Small business loans for women in Haiti through Hope International. Goal–200 x $200 loans. Given–$64,412.34 for 322 loans.

Provide 100 cleft palate surgeries for children in Afghanistan with Cure International. Goal–$55,000. Given–$68,160.54/111 children get surgeries.
Package and send Bibles to unreached people in Asia through Bibles Unbound. Goal–3000 Bibles packaged and $3000 to cover cost. Given/Done–3000 Bibles packaged/$9,530.56 given to send more.

Support a Child Survival project in Indonesia through Compassion International. Goal–100 students x $20 a month for one year = $24,000. Given–205 students x $20 a month for one year = $50,170. (The 12 month commitment represents pledges for this cause).
Package meals through our partner Feed My Starving Children. Goal–package 100,000 meals at Passion 2010 and give $17,500 to cover costs. Given/Done–108,432 meals packaged and $17,533.32 given.

Drink coffee and fund projects in Ethiopia through our partner Gobeana Coffee. Given–$24,548.
Total given at Passion 2010 = $724,480.42.
IN ADDITION, a family at Passion 2010 matched the total as of Tuesday morning with a gift of $668.597.00.
For a Passion 2010
As well, 14,820 towels and 72,600 pairs of socks were given to assist the homeless shelters of Atlanta.
Obviously, it’s not all about the money. But we know the verse, “where your money is your heart is also,” applies here, and believe many lives have been captured by His global purposes in these days.
Thanks to everyone who joined this amazing cause. Let’s continue to give everything until His grace, hope ad healing are extended to all.
Humbled,
LG
You can still give $5 by texting OMC to 20222 and by supporting the causes at onemillioncan.com. All monies given by text after Passion 2010 will go to onemillioncan causes.

Could He be any more breathtaking?! Praise Him for the glory that’s due Him!
Thanks, Louie, for being a humble servant and facilitating this. We are crazy about you and your sweet wife and your whole team!

words fail.
have your way, Holy Spirit, with us. with all that we are, and all that we have.
January 7th, 2010 at 9:07 PM
In awe of what He can do in the matter of days!! So humbling, so inspiring.
January 7th, 2010 at 10:20 PM
I am amazed, astounded, and completely humbled by what God did at Passion. I admit to being a little skeptical when the $500,000 goal was presented and in the end I was shown how small my faith is but how big our God is!
January 7th, 2010 at 10:54 PM
Which homeless organization did Passion use to facilitate the towels/socks donations in Atlanta? I was not able to come this year and wanted to give.
January 7th, 2010 at 11:07 PM
Glory to God who redeemed us to be a reflection of His love and grace!
January 7th, 2010 at 11:10 PM
this continues to bring tears to my eyes at the overwhelming outcome of our little gathering :) but what really got to me was when you(Louie) said “don’t count out college students!” such a simple statement, but i’ve spent the last few years in college watching and hearing people count out the strength of college students.
i graduate(God willing) in May, and thanks to my now three experiences at Passion, i’ve found a great heart for working with college students and those words have been echoing like a battle cry since Tuesday.
thank you SO much for all you do! Enjoy the snow :D

It’s so humbling that God allows us to be a part of something so huge.
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” – James 1:27
To God be the glory, great things he has done!
January 7th, 2010 at 11:46 PM
…and this is just the beginning.
January 8th, 2010 at 12:08 AM
if this is not a testament to the Glory of God then I don’t know what is. I love this about our Father. We ask for some and he opens the floodgates. I hope the way God humbles us with answered prayers never ceases to knock us on the floor, with mouth wide open, totally speechless!
Our God is greater…
January 8th, 2010 at 12:11 AM
I still can’t get over this. God is SO amazing. He’s a HUGE God, and nothing is too hard for Him!
January 8th, 2010 at 12:14 AM
YES! Praise GOD!
I am super proud of this generation, for listening to GOD’s voice during all of this and following Him!
January 8th, 2010 at 1:03 AM
What a wonderful God we have. I’m speechless, as I have been countless times this past week. I’m just humbled to get to see all this glory in my hometown and to finally get awakened.
January 8th, 2010 at 1:35 AM
How much was collected to help with the 2010 World Tour? Anxiously awaiting info on Passion 2011!!!!! Awesome job by your staff and the volunteers. It was truly an amazing experience. Give glory to God!!!!
January 8th, 2010 at 1:48 AM
There was $229,000 raised for the world tour.
And really, if you add up everything together, there was a grand total of $1.6 million given to reach the nations. That still blows my mind, that between the 22,000 college kids, and the couple that matched what we gave, over $1.6 million was given.
January 8th, 2010 at 1:57 AM
God is just so GOOD!
Listening to the playback of session 6, hearing you tell the story of how God answered your prayer (quite speedily!) and DOUBLED the amount that had been given, I was again just overwhelmed by how faithful He is!
I said “God, you do it over and over again!”
It’s so clear to see that God’s heart beats for this! Let us always follow His heart.
January 8th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
To all who participated in Do Something Now,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 2 Dalit Education Centers funded. Wow.
“for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt. 6:21

I did not go to Passion in Atlanta, but last night at my Bible study some of our men who went taught over giving all we have, and cutting out elsewhere in order to give more in another area. They shared these numbers with us, and I am so pleased to see how God provides abundantly more than we ask or need. In reading over these numbers, I was astounded to see the needs that were met, and moreso!
“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.” 2 Corinth 9:10-11
:-)

This is amazing.
January 8th, 2010 at 10:31 AM
Thank you for bringing the Gospel to more people groups of Southeast Asia!
January 8th, 2010 at 10:32 AM
It’s so great to be part of what God is doing!
We are so excited to see how God moved through Passion 2010. We are praying that God will continue to move on the hearts of participants as we process what God taught us at Passion.
January 8th, 2010 at 11:19 AM
I was moved by the causes at the Go Center and am AMAZED at what God did at Passion 2010! Thank you Louie and friends, volunteers, Hillsong United, and all involved with making Passion work this year. I look forward to 2011 with hopes that Jesus will be made famous to even more students and more lives will be changed for the sake of His glory.
January 8th, 2010 at 11:43 AM
He has taken our widow’s mites and turned it into over a million dollars! How Great is our God?!?!
Every time I get the chance to share what God did at Passion2010, I am brought to tears, overwhelmed by His grace!
January 8th, 2010 at 12:46 PM
This is amazing! I was in tears by the end of this post. I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but I’m overwhelmed by God’s goodness, grace and provision. I’m also blown away by the generosity of 22,000 young adults. It just goes to show that the world’s view of my generation does not match up with God’s. How great is our God!
January 8th, 2010 at 1:07 PM
Praying mom in California who loved Atlanta. Didn’t see or hear most of the “event”. But enjoyed God’s presence and His people. Together, bowed, future, move, serve, next. Glory,! God hears us! Giving thanks for the answers to prayers we don’t see, yet. Glory,! Commas and exclamations intentional.
January 8th, 2010 at 1:08 PM
I know my faith is often very small and like Christine I was a little skeptical at the thought of $500,000 being raise, but knew it was possible with God…it’s all his money anyway. What is so amazing about Him is he doesn’t rely on my faith, he sustains it, continually.
Thank you Lord!
January 8th, 2010 at 1:36 PM
Incredible!! It’s amazing what can happen when all of us do something in Jesus’ Name. The church is rising up now to be Your hands and feet … beautiful. :D
January 8th, 2010 at 2:22 PM
This so great! wow!
I’m so happy! Praise God!
January 8th, 2010 at 2:31 PM
Praise God! If our God is for us that who can stop us!
January 8th, 2010 at 2:41 PM
It was seriously one of the greatest acts of God moving i have been a direct witness too…For the money to be matched in a miraculous way and in the “final hour” puts to light the vers in Isaiah 40:31…God still responds in BIG & TANGIBLE ways!
January 8th, 2010 at 3:34 PM
What a wonderful example of a generation of individuals willing to give up something small for something collectively huge which goes towards something even larger. His kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
January 8th, 2010 at 3:39 PM
This is simply great!
January 8th, 2010 at 4:09 PM
BTW, I was wondering if you guys could put the Do Something Now video online… it was such a beautiful video, I really wanted to share it with some friends of mine (even though all the causes are totally funded now). After all, the causes were funded, but there’s still a lot to do for God’s glory in this broken world we live in.
God bless you all!

It blows my mind to see how God has moved the hearts of 22,000 young people to make Jesus famous! Hallelujah, to our Lord God Almighty!
It’s not about the numbers, but numbers help, amen? Haha!
I was tracking with the playback online each and every day and I feel so blessed to be a part of passion2010 even in the slightest way.
I want to ask my dear brothers and sisters of the Passion movement, to pray for Malaysia.
The churches in Malaysia have so far been fairly spared in the realm of prosecution. We have been blessed with many many years of freedom to practice our religion and to worship Jesus and declare our faith.
But recently, the churches have come under attack and three of them have been burned by arsonists, due to a disagreement over the usage of the word ‘Allah’ as God in the Malay Bibles. These Bibles have been in use for many years even before the independence of the nation and are the only texts that the natives of East Malaysia have in a language they understand. This usage of the word ‘Allah’ has caused a dispute between the churches and some of the Muslim community.
I want to pray that through all this, Jesus will be glorified. Listening to Passion2010 has led me to pray for a generation that will continue to worship Him even in the midst of prosecution.
I don’t know the outcome and what the final verdict of this situation will be, but I want to pray that above all, Jesus’ name will be lifted up and the church will worship Him endlessly throughout this time.
Thank you, my Passion friends!
-KJ

How Great is Our God!!
January 8th, 2010 at 11:25 PM
This is all so amazing! Never underestimate what college kinds can do when they have relationships with Jesus Christ.
January 9th, 2010 at 10:58 AM
I just wanted you all to know that the Passion that has been renewed within me is still screaming out inside of me. I have truly been changed by this conference. It is not just another “stick in the fire.” I feel a deep, honest, and fierce change within myself. Thank you.
January 9th, 2010 at 12:39 PM
As a volunteer it was exhausting and rewarding. Never worked so long and hard in my life. As a father to a son who attended who worked long hours to help build and tear down the DSN it was exciting. As a junior in college who has already obtained his pilots license he said Frances Chan’s messages “turned his world upside down.” He is now agressively pursuing being a MAF missionary pilot. He served in an internship at MAF the Summer of 2009 and now wants to pursue where God is leading in that direction. God is good, God is faithful! I have yet to hear the messages that he heard, but he has been writing and talking about it non-stop.
January 10th, 2010 at 10:50 PM
Any idea when the mp3 can be downloaded? I missed the stream for session 3…plus I’d love to pick up some of the other stuff.
January 10th, 2010 at 11:36 PM
AMAZING!!!! Thank you Louie, all of the staff, worship leaders, and volunteers for giving us such an awesome opportunity to give and impact The Kingdom for the GLORY of God. You are all such wonderful servants of our Lord Jesus. Let’s all rise up and be disciples in our community and throughout the world until we meet again.
We are BLESSED!

January 11th, 2010 at 12:03 PM
My first Passion experience, as a volunteer, I am still in the clouds over what I saw and experienced in those 4 days. There are really no words other than God showed up for anyone who knew him, in the biggest way I have ever seen and I went to give as a volunteer and received more than I could have ever imagined. I will be at the next 20 Passions if I am still standing. Thank you Louie and the entire Passion staff!
January 11th, 2010 at 2:02 PM
As a volunteer, i had the blessing of looking into the eyes of so many of these students. What i saw there was the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD looking back at me. He is alive in you, never to be underestimated again!!! I praise Him, for the experience and for everyone involved. Including the people that packed the lunches we enjoyed from Lenny’s. TGBTG

How great is the thought of the ripple affect that is going to continue to happen as the funds are now there so the physical work of all these different organizations can begin?! Thousands have seeds have been sown!!! Two questions, is there a way for students to get involved with these organizations to help in the actual physical labor of going to these countries and building these buildings, digging these wells, being with the children after surgery? It may not be a possibility, but if there was a possibility of sending teams of passion students from all over to go out and get involved in the labor of these projects and experiencing the Nations we would be eager to join. Also, will y’all add something for the current situation in Haiti so we can begin giving to the aid and rebuilding of Haiti?
