The Thames, Tower Bridge and Twenty Ten!
One of the icons of London’s historic landscape, the Tower Bridge, provided a great location to gather university leaders from all across the UK (and Scandinavia) to dream about Passion’s return to the City in 2010! If you squint (or just enlarge the image!) you’ll see a set of windows just below the fly-over connector on the tower to your right. This past Monday, 40 of us met inside to pray and think about the possibllity of another London Passion event next year. The vantage point was amazing and there was still a buzz among us from our event in Hammersmith Apollo last summer. But what was really cool was seeing new faces in the room, people who are joining the movement for a Passion gathering to be hosted in London in May of TwentyTen.
I’m not sure I’m even supposed to be releasing this information, as no plans for a LIMITED Passion World Tour in 2010 are official as yet!! But if you’re in the UK, I’d watch closely for the something in the coming months!
[And, just in case I am in some serious trouble right now, please do not write us or lobby for your city in 2010. For one, we loved EVERY city we were in on the inagural Passion World Tour and would love to come back to see you all again. But, reality says that seventeen cities in one year (with our major Passion Twenty Ten gathering in Atlanta in January and this little thing called Passion City Church coming to life) is maybe not the wisest plan. So, we will be back in a few cities next year, God willing, and might even add a new destination this time around.]
A few days after our London gathering I was speaking in Oxford where I met a student leader from the south coast of England. Their group was recognized on the last Passion Twenty Ten Live Link web stream (and they said they would be with us for our next one in September as well) at 2AM AND that they are already bringing 9 students to Atlanta for Passion Twenty Ten. Brilliant!
So thanks to everyone who joined us in the Tower Bridge (and those who met our team in Kyiv before that). We loved hearing about how God is stirring in your hearts and movements and look forward to even greater things for London and beyond.
Passion London, May 2010?!?!?
But first, Atlanta! January 2-5, 2010.
Louie
PS- Tower Bridge is most often confused with London Bridge, the latter made famous by the song London Bridge is falling down, falling down…
Most notably, this confusion happened when the London Bridge was sold for $2.4 million in 1968 to a US oil tycoon who dismantled it and had it rebuilt in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where it stands today. No kidding.

Hey Louie,
I just saw you at Student Life 09 in Gatlinburg,TN for FLIP!
The whole weekend opened my eyes to how i need to be living for christ all the time and through everything. The last night(monday) you read Ashley’s story, i had heard the story before but it never had the same effect as it did last night. In the morning of Monday when you told us we would be discussing Flipping death i tensed up quickly.
Sunday June 14th, 2009 i turned 17 and around 1pm my best friend Alicia(17), her boyfriend Nick(25), and his mom(Barbra) was heading to the beach when something happened and they went over the medion and hit two oncoming cars. Nick and Barbra were killed instantly and Alicia was taken by helicopter to the hospital and died in surgery. Alicia was suppose to meet me after i finished mission prep at church. Her house phone calls me and i here from her mom the news. I am so thankful I was at church when i found out because it was the most comfort i got.
Well, Nick and Barbra were amazing chrst followers, and Alicia had come to church with me over last summer and right before she left for her first year at UGA she had accepted christ. I didn’t find this out till i found out she had died and a close friend had told me they talked alot right before Alica left. This was FLIP!!!!
Last night when you told the Ashley story all I could do was cryand smile. Its so tough to wake up evey morning and know she isn’t here with me anymore. However I know ALicia is in a better place. You really helped me realize that last night…and I want to thank you so much!

Listening to J93.3 right now at work and hearing Chris singing “greater things are still to be done here….” Man, it renews my heart and vision every time just thinking what plans our Father of Lights has in store for us.
Be encouraged today, Louie and the Passion team. You are a blessing and gift to us all and an absolute delight to our sweet Father. Keep pressing on!

hey louie
i was at Student Life camp in Gatlinburg..
dude you were awesome!!!
and dude you like really opened my eyes, the only reason i ws excited about this camp was because of Steve Fee.. like my youth minister in a thingy was talkin about focusing on God and use me as an example and was like “Nicole, im sorry but you are a Fee-nut” and its completely true… a long time ago i cried when i met him, but i realized that week at camp, that if i met Jesus i probably wouldnt cry, or even be like excited at that, and thats wrong… and i just wanted to thank you for opening my eyes to that, im still notcompletely focused on God but im trying to be..
dude you had me in tears on the first night…. i realized how stupid i was being, i mean when Steve walked past me, i flipped out, no lie, … i wish i had you email adress man so i could send you this in a an email but i cant find it anywhere..

Hi Louie,
I am from Perth Australia and I am a new Christian. I am in Canada and America for 8 months on my journey and was hoping to see you speak or attend a conference … I’m not sure how to go about it and would really like to make use of the fact that I am so close right now.
I have watched many of your dvds and listened to you cds (I am yet to have a Krispy Kreme donut) and .. well I’m not sure about how private and dependable the internet is so I will just say thank you for helping me get to this part of my journey but I am really looking forward to getting to the other side.
Thank you,
Gillian

HILLSONG CONFERENCE, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, WAS AWESOME. Thanks Louie for opening my eyes once again….helping me again to be aligned with Him, stirring my hunger for Him and less of me. My world has been rocked again by hearing God speak to me through you. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU LOUIE AND THE PASSION TEAM, AS YOU FAITHFULLY OBEY THE CALLING ON YOUR LIVES. We are so blessed to have had you share with us in Sydney.

Hey Louie! I just have returned home from Daytona student life… I wanted to play the podcast for my mom and was wanting to hear your feedback of each night. Where can I find it.. all I am seeing is your passion podcast. I also was wondering if there is a way to hear the talks from this week again some how. Thanks for helping us grow closer to God this week. It was an incredible renewal for y faith. And it”s amazing your talk on the last night was about the veil being torn because that literally had been my prayer all week.
