Wow! What an amazing story. Ashley, we never met, but I can tell by reading what you wrote and by listening to what Mr. Giglio had to say about you in Hope and Fruitcake And Ice Cream, I can tell that you were a wonderful person, and you inspired me and my family and friends to make the most of every day, and to love God even more! Thanks for being a shining light to every person around you!

HI, I DONT KNOW ASHLEY ,IM IN SOUTH-AFRICA AND WATCHED THE DVD OF PASTOR LOUIE GIGLIO, AND THE STORY OF ASHLEY.AMAIZING STORY, AND THERE WERE ONLY TEARS.I WERE SO UPSET FOR ASHLEY HAVE DIED.BUT REALIZED THAT , GOD WANTED ASHLEY WITH HIM , SHE WERE SPECIAL , AND GOD KNEW IT.IN TODAYS LIFE WE CAN’T AFORD TO LEAVE GOD’S HAND.PASTOR GIGLIO HOPE THIS LETTER REACHES YOU AS YOUR STORIES HAVE REACHED OUT TO ME AND GRABED ME WITH ALL OF ITS POWER , AND MADE ME REALIZED THATS THERE ARE ONLY ONE GOD.THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INSPIRING WORDS.FROM MARTIN DE VILLIERS SOUTH-AFRICA.

I watched the “Fruitcake and Ice Cream” DVD last night for the first time. What an amazingly cool story about Ashley. Thanks. Of the many things that moved me about the story is how God so creatively finds a way to our hearts. He reaches in, He develops a story, He continues His creative work, He loves us with NO reservation. Even several years later, He still uses Ashley’s story in His creative masterpiece. Last night I brought my guitar to our Bible study. Normally I’ve not done this, but it was easy. We have a study at work and I selected some tunes for this and decided to just use the same ones at our evening bible study that we used at work. I thought, cool. We sang our worship songs before the video. Our first song was “Mighty to Save”. Hmm.. A great worship song. Then we watched the video and …… I was Amazed by how much that song meant so much to Ashley – She wrote it in her Journal. Right now I’m trying to still get my mind around how creative our God is. God is using this story of a miracle to make sure that His plans, His creative nature, and His love are shown.

The second part of the story for me is the fact that literally 1,000’s of the sins that Jesus carried to the cross are mine. The reality and vision of this is lighting my dark soul. It shows: God acting, God moving, God creating, God loving, God becoming His creative word in flesh, God reaching in, God moving forward, God planning, God designing, God hoping, God living, God dying, God living, God revealing, God inhabiting, God shaking, God never giving up, God desiring us ….. ……… God. God Healing!!!

My friend, Olivia, and I go to Passion concert in Jakarta, Indonesia and heard this story. This story was really change my life and my friend’s life too. I realized that life is short and we have to share about Gods love to as many people as we can. For Olivia, she change her focus of life to Jesus. Now, we want to go to a mission school to learn about God more. Thanks for sharing this story

hi.

just amazed. as i read ashley’s letter and her mom’s i felt crying. The LORD is so great and ever sufficient.
i am also touched with what her mom wrote. i feel better every time i remember my tatay (father). he died five days after my 13th birthday. i am glad that i have the assurance of seeing him again, to hug him tight.
i am eager to share the things i read.

from the Philippines. . .

I am a youth minister and just showed the fruitcake & ice cream dvd to our youth group (it was also the first time for me seeing it). WOW!!!! This story has changed my life and the lives of the teens in my group. Her story proves how awesome and soverign God is. And also, you so incredibly communicated the all encompassing love & grace of God in your message and how God is reconcilling the entire world to himself. He is not willing that any will perish…it is comforting to know that God’s grace is truly sufficient. Your message reminds me of the story in the Bible of the shepherd & and the 100 sheep and 99 are accounted for but he won’t quit or give up until that 1 lost sheep is found…How true this is of Christ our Saviour. He is indeed Mighty to Save!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey just saw the Fruitcake DVD this morning and it was such a powerful message. It just shows how much God changes people and how amazing he is and how he changed ashleys life in the three months he was with her. Im sure she is looking down from heaven smilling on us all and how her story is changing the lives of thousands of people world wide. God Bless
