Vivid Color
Often words fail when we’ve witnessed so much, so fast, so far-reaching, so special…so God. Knowing we were going to encounter beautiful and varied faces, cultures and hues on the Passion World Tour, we asked Jeremy Cowart to bring his unique eye, genius creativity and array of lens along for the ride in an effort to capture the essence of a six-continent journey to some of the great cities of the world. And capture he did. Over 18,000 images in all document every grand cityscape as well as the minute details some might miss. Now the process begins of narrowing that ocean of photographic thread into a tapestry that can articulate what God is doing around the globe in this generation. Combined with Jeremy’s images are my reflections on the vision of the WT and a taste of what we encountered along the way. Our hope is that Awakening’s pages will inspire those who read it to take their place in God’s epic story.
Awakening is slated for release in late spring, but a breath-taking preview video trailer is available now at Awakeningthebook.com. In addition, we will be posting a “photo of the day” on the site every day until the book’s release. There’s also a place for you to leave your e-mail address so we can keep in touch about the official launch date.

Wow. Those photos are amazing! I started to cry while watching just the preview video at the website. I have seen a couple of the Passion talks and many of your other talks, Louie. And while I have not been able to participate by going to Passion, they are very inspirational during my time as a student here at Univ. of CA, Santa Cruz. And thank you, Jeremy Cowart, for using your amazing photography talent to record the beauty of God working around the world!

I don’t know why, but I am always amazed at the presence of God in the work that Passion does. I didn’t expect to feel God’s Spirit move while watching photos flash by with simple music, but I did. I know God is super pleased with Passion.

Louie, I’m so excited to know that the shots are going to be published in a book! I remember being present at Passion Kuala Lumpur and seeing Jeremy in action with his camera. It was soo cool!
Being a photography enthusiast myself, it is my passion to be able to use my photography to touch lives, to tell of His story and bring bring Him ALL the glory! Thank you Jeremy, for being such an inspiration!
And oh of course, Louie, for bringing Passion to KL. It’s truly a night for me to remember and I look forward to join Passion 2010!

Great video…Pictures do say so much (they hold things that words sometimes can’t begin to explain)!

wow… how many pictures were in that video? i think the video needs a ‘pause’ button so we can see each picture. haha…
now im curious to know how many pictures will be in the book.
imagine sorting thru 18,000+ pictures… i play around with video editing/making as a hobby and i find sorting through a year’s worth of pictures for a year end slideshow pretty tiring. and i dont think i’ve got anywhere near 18,000 pictures to sort thru. this is gunna be a great read! (or view)
attempting to sum up what happened is a difficult task. but sometimes, not everyone needs the full story. a small part of the story can touch someone.
and thats how we are. God uses each of us in ways we can’t imagine. we are tiny and small, but we are all a tiny part of His story.

I just watched the “Hope when Life Hurts the Most” DVD and I would like to tell you some of my story if you would allow me to. Wow, that is beautiful!
I carry you all in my heart, but I don’t have much time right now. Tomorrow I’ll probably check in to the hospital in which I’ll undergo a surgical procedure (orthognatic surgery). But I just wanted to stop by and say hello, :-)
Please, pray for me and my family. May God be glorified in it all, no matter what, and if He is pleased in doing so, may He accelerate my recovery (which doctors say should take a month or so). Anyway, I know God’s with me and it will bring glory to His name.

I love all you do- I am not a young person but I love all you do .I live on the South Coast of Australia and pray so much for your outreach and praise our GREAT GOD for all He is doing through you. I have all your videos available here and share them when I can. Please let me know when the Awakening vidoe is available- Although I am older than you Loiue- I love all the songs by your wonderful young Christian artists and play them a lot, especially in my car.

A-mazing. I cannot wait to look at the book. I loved how the video showed so many faces because so often we see the crowds, but the change is only made by people one-by-one… I’ve really been reminded of the power of one lately – so, i loved it!

I don’t think that I blinked at all while I was watching the video; I didn’t want to miss any of the wonderful pictures. Thank you so much to everyone at the Passion team. I hope that you guys are able to do another world tour soon (make sure you come to Vancouver, Canada!!).

Louie, I am so excited for this to come out! I was at Passion Seoul, and i can’t wait to see the pictures from that beautiful city.
I am so excited for Passion 2010 to see some of my Korean friends again!
