Today in Mexico City was absolutely amazing!  And it all ended with this sign popping up in the crowd as we began to pray for Vancouver.  That’s what this Tour has been about–students giving for students, praying for each other and connecting their hearts all around this globe to make Jesus famous.  So forgive me, but one more time–WOW!  Tonight was a really potent finish to a day that began with everyone singing “Beautiful Jesus” with Kristian in Spanish.  That’s where the day began to turn and our hearts started to melt into one.

As we came to the close of the night we were praying for the churches and the campuses of the city and the nation, 6000+ students in these beautiful triangles praying with all their hearts.  Then a Mexican pastor, my friend and translator, began to pray over us all and something erupted in the room. (There’s something about a Mexican leader praying with these people in their own language that unlocks something that English doesn’t quite do.)  The whole place just roared to life as the hope of a new generation cried out for the future of this city.

Mexico City–Passion loves you and will never forget this weekend.  And yes, it got really loud in this place tonight…your voices joining those of thousands of others across the world!  Go and shine His light in the darkness…in the darkest places in this nation.  God is in you and His plan is you…Christ in you the hope of glory.

Thank you for letting us come to Mexico City.  We believe the best is yet to come!!

Cuan Grande Es Dios!

For all our US and Mexican team, Louie

I was planning on attending Passion Vancouver but at the last minute things came up and travel plans were altered. So, I will surely miss it on Monday night… However, I was in need of some encouragement tonight and since this blog always encourages me, I decided to check it out for any updates. WHat God is doing in Mexico City and all the cities of the world tour is sooo amazing! I’ve never been to a conference (looking forward to the day :) ), but I am just so deeply moved whenever I listen to the podcasts, read the blog, see what God’s doing in the hearts of people my age. It tells me that IT IS POSSIBLE. Sometimes I feel kinda hopeless on my campus; It’s so much easier not to care and just doing your thing. But keeping up with Passion and the whole movement is just so, so, so encouraging. THANK YOU for doing what you do. You dare me to move on my campus; talk to that person who looks lonely; show love to those who seem unlovable, to pursue my walk with Christ even when its an uphill climb. Thank you for the encouragement. Since I won’t be there at Vancouver, I will totally be praying for the team and that the movement will just spark great things in that city and all the cities before, and all to come.

    In His name,

    Hey Louie and Passion team!
So exciting to read that the 3rd leg of the tour has gotten off to such a “roaring” start! So many people shouting the praises of our awesome King! Too cool!!! I got to experience a little bit of that myself on a mission trip to Mexico 4 years ago. The people there are so real and heartfelt in their worship. We all sang songs in Spanish together and it was so beautiful! I wish I could have been there this weekend to have experienced that again. May the Lord continue to do amazing things in the lives that were touched this weekend, and may He continue to infuse all of you with the strength of His Spirit to keep doing what you’re doing for the cause of Christ. God bless all of you!! :)

  24. Rodrigo Says:

Great news!!! As usual, I can’t wait for the podcast! :-)
I’m also looking forward to reading some of the comments from our Mexican friends!

Now, as for who’s louder… you’ve got to bear in mind we were *only* 2100 students in Sao Paulo, Brazil (according to official estimate, hehe). So you have got to multiply our loudness factor by the amount of students in the other cities… LOL, just kidding. In fact, I guess this competition thing stirs bad things in me (yes, I am a very competetive person), so whatever. After all, it’s not about us anyway. It’s all about God! It’s all about our ONE true King and His kingdom, am I right!? :-)

I only pray all our loudness (not sure it’s a real word, but anyway) may translate into lives that by their actions and words trully and powerfully resound the Lord’s renown here in this planet and for ever and ever and ever.

    God bless you all!!!

    Vancouver, you’re next!! :-)

  26. Deidre - Jhb Says:

The louder we can all sing & praise the Father, the more will come to know who He is and how much love He has for us all. I bet even the angels were singing with you all last night…. :>)
There are so many souls out there waiting to be transformed!
To You Father for Your grace, to You Lord for the tender love and to You Holy Spirit for breath of life in our hearts….
can anyone imagine if we ALL had to stand in one place and shout to the Lord in praise in all our different languages,…… man how that would sound to Our Father…
God bless you all and Vancouver be ready – your hearts are going to do a whoop ! for Jesus….. we love you from way back here in SouthAfric. :>)

    Hola!!!

  43. Isai McDonald Says:

For many years ago I hear about the PASSION CONFERENCES so the first thing I did was to find their music and worship leaders I got music from Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall great worship leaders the songs started changing my heart in a different way of worshiping the Lord. So from that point my dream was to be in one of their conferences. 3 months ago a friend of mine sent me a dvd and it is about a talk How great is our God and in this dvd this guy his name Louie Giglio talks about how great is our God that our lives are a miracle, and the creator of the universe knows me by name. He’s big enough to breathe out starts, the God who spoke the universe into existence made me too. There you find me in my room waching this talk praying and crying to the Lord and God speaking to my heart. And this guy Louie Giglio ends with this message talking about LAMININ a molecule that hold our boddy togheter in a perfect picture of the cross where our Jesus Christ died this blew me away. Once Again God speaking to me letting me know I’m the one who will always hold you togheter no matter how you are. Here I am 3 months later driving from Cancun to Mexico City my dream was coming truth the Passion Conferences were coming to Mexico City God heard my prayers after we drove 18 hours we got on thursday at 11:00 pm at the hotel praying with my team and geeting our hearts ready for tomorrow the time has come. Friday At 11:00 am we are in the lines waiting for the conferences to start 7:00 pm 6,000 students worshiping the Lord in El Palacio De los Deportes God started doing amazing things in our hearts two days crazy things happened when Louie talked about grace and about Ashley I knew God was speaking to me I was in the first line when I felt how God touched my heart. And the second night the message that Louie spoke to the students blew me away, it was the message that my mexican people needed to hear when Louie talked about “we are not ready to go out and give because we move for emotions and we dont have a great foundation” once again the grace of God speaking through Louie I never heard something like that I knew it was so of God, in that moment when my friend gave me that dvd and I said who in the world is this Louie Giglio God was sharing his plan to me through this guy. Sunday at 1:00 pm we are driving back home and I heard my team telling me the blessing that was for them the conferences and one of the guys that came with me telling me I accepted Jesus in my heart last night when Louie was preaching and I’m changed I’m ready to go home and share with my friends that blew me away one more time, I knew God was with us and in his plans was that it was the time for Mexico City to have this ministry call Passion and we were in their plans. We are back home and in our hearts are every single word we got and know we can say WOW this is AMAZING this can change our cities, our University, and every heart. I pray that God keep using this ministry to go into the hearts onf those students that are thirsty to get words from God.

We are back in Cancun Mexico making God famous and ready to renown his name as Isaiah 26:8 “Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and renown are the desire of our souls.”.

    God bless

You know, when you talk about people listening to podcasts in weird places I might be one of them! Your podcast accompanies me on my long early morning walks out in the country of northern (somewhat rural) Missouri. When the beautiful people of Mexico raised their voices in shouting Christo Illei (sp?) I just about wept at the power that held. Someday all mouths on earth will utter those words, for now, we have the amazing ability to chose to praise the Lord. Oh for the day to have all creation praise His Name! Keep up the awesome work Lord that you are doing through this Passion team!

  45. Chavita Says:

    Wow…..yeah!!!!!! it´s crazy…………

It´s so amazing, powerfull and supernatural, sin and declare, with faith: ” Greater things have yet to come. Great things are still to be done in MEXICO” and I believe it………

Passion Mexico City t is only the beginning and all I can say is that it was an amazing weekend, and it was because Jesus shed his grace and his great love …And me “dropped the twenty” … after nine years trying to do whatever was necessary so that God will accept me in one night, God showed me His grace.

It is just the beginning … now, the passion should be in our hearts to illuminate in the dark. But …”Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. ”

¡¡¡¡¡THANK YOU PASSION!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!
Mexico has in your hearts and in your prayers … as well as prayers by Vancouver and th world…. yeah!, For your city, your students, and by you …that God always fill blessings them … Thank you …

    ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡VAMOS MÉXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
