A World United-First Monday September
In between legs of the Passion World Tour, we are back to our regular First Monday schedule. The idea is simple, on the first Monday of the month, we’ll meet here from places all around the globe. We’ll post 16 prayer points (2+6+8=16). If you’re new to Passion, the number comes from Isaiah 26:8–Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for you, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our souls. This confession has been the root of the Passion Movement since the very beginning, and still shapes everything we do as we seek to see a generation awaken to make Jesus famous. So take a few minutes and join your voice with people like you from every corner of the world.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of You among the peoples. For great is Your love, reaching to the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, let Your glory be over all the earth. Psalm 57:9-11.
16 (2+6+8) Prayer Points For September
1. Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi (as well as Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean) have been hit hard by Gustav. Let’s look for ways to turn prayers into action to lend a hand in bringing aid and relief to those in need as a result of this storm system.
2. Looking back, we have recently been in Kyiv, Stockholm, Sao Paulo, Kampala, Paris, London, Manila, KL, Jakarta, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Please pick one of these cities and pray for the seeds that have been sown and for the strengthening of the church, especially in ways that would impact the university campuses of these cities with the story of God.
3. University campuses are coming to life across the US. Pray with us today for the students of your city. The campus is the most crucial intersection of our time. If you’re post-university age, pray for the churches and campus ministries who are called to this crossroads with the light of Jesus, and ask God to show you ways you can support and encourage them.
4. If you’re in university, pray for your campus, church/ministry community, leaders…and also foster unity by praying for the leaders of another ministry other than yours.
5. Passion is headed to six additional global cities in the next 30 days. At the start we needed $6millon+, but as of today the amount is down to under $900,000!! This is amazing!! While 900K is still a lot, take a minute and thank God for the incredible ways He has provided, enabling us to take Passion to over 61,000 new friends on four continents.
6. Let’s make sure we are grateful and continue to trust God for all that is needed to complete the world tour journey.
7. Our first stop is Mexico City, home to 30 million people and over 1 million university students! Please pray today for UNAM, the world’s largest campus with over 300,000 students. Pray for those who are called to reach this campus for Christ and for new vision in the hearts of tons of others who God is calling there.
8. Our two-day event will be in the Sports Palace in Mexico City and 16,500 people have already claimed tickets for this event. Pray over this venue and for the thousands of students who will encounter the message of God’s greatness, fame and staggering grace.
9. Pray for a wave of grace in Mexico City that will break the chains of religious effort and unleash in us all a desire to live for the one who makes us free.
10. Pray for Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a spiritually vibrant city, but one in great need of the truth and grace of Jesus. We are thrilled that 6000 tickets have already been claimed for this night, more than numbers, a sign of the hunger and potential that are there.
11. Pray for our volunteer teams that are leading the stops in Mexico City, Vancouver, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney. These guys have jobs, families and responsibilities, yet they have taken on these Passion Events because they believe in university students and care about God’s fame.
12. Pray for Passion Seoul, our last two-day event of the current world tour and a gathering that has the potential to awaken a new generation in a nation where spiritual leadership and passion have been so prevalent.
13. Tokyo is also the largest city in the world (with MCity), depending on the day and who you’re talking with. 30 million+ people and only 3% who know Jesus. Pray that Passion Tokyo will be a catalyst for the Church throughout Tokyo and Japan.
14. We are excited to be in China for Passion Hong Kong! Pray for all the logistical details to be worked out and for the word to spread throughout HK and into the mainland about this event.
15. We end in Sydney, where over 8500 people are already coming! Pray for a powerful deposit of what it means to live for what matters most.
16. God is leading us, but we are being hit on every side. Please pray for a covering on all of those on our staff team and world tour team and their families. Pray for mercy, healing, protection and energy for His glory!

What a joy to read everytime whats going on all around the world.
Many times i can be so locked up in my own little world…and i always can find something to praise GOd for thats not the thing. But when my big picture world is opened up a bit and see what God is doing globally….WOW
GOd has the whole cake so dont worry about the 900.000 its just a piece to Him!and im sure it will taste good
Louie, i want to encourage you. Your name means fame and war.
Its not just something!!!!!: God is taking cities back for Himself and he is using you and has given you certain strategies and i pray that they will be released to you and that you are open to all that GOd wants to do through you.
it is costing you something..(when its everything dont blame me :D) its both a battle and a reward.But the reward will be even greater, the harvest of lost souls. And God loves your obedience and devotion!
And i wonder what a great woman your wife must be : for behind every great man is even a greater woman standing….or kneeling maybe :D
May the LORD bless you and keep you;
May the LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
May the LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
and give you peace.

Praying from London, for the Passion team, the WT teams and their families. May the Lord continue to grant you all His favour as you seek to awaken this generation with His story of Grace and Love. Thanking the Lord too for all that He has done in Leg 1 and 2 – and more that is happening in each of those cities – even right now!! Changed hearts, God lovers and history makers; what a privilege! May the Lord’s leading continue to beat stronger and stronger in your hearts as you head into Leg 3!

Continuing to pray with and for you all here in London, KY. Oh, and congratulations on the release of Hello Love! It was a lot of fun listening to Chris AND Shelley on KLOVE this morning with Jon and Sherry- which was a very big moment, since I hear that Shelley has never been on the radio before! It was great to hear her on there for the first time, and tell Chris that next time around he really should let her get a word in edgewise, occasionally! ;) We seriously do love you guys, and will continue to hold you up to our Father in our hearts and prayers! Keep running strong in Him!

Hi Passion team!
So great to read this blog and to pray together with brothers and siters from all corners of the globe. Just one month away from Mexico, yeah so excited! Praying for all of you and for the students who will attend. This morning my heart is just bursting with gladness that I had to go and write this somewhere, so what better place… Just glad for a prayer group that God called into being at work and for the poeple He is adding to it everytime, and was very glad to hear today that it was also in answer to a prayer from one of my co-workers. Our Father is always faithful and is calling His poeple together all over the world. Praise Him!
Blessings.

I am praying!!!
Can I just share something with you Louie: Since the Passion Conference in Jozi, I played the songs we sang so loud over and over again in my hostel in Potchefstroom. My roommate from last year (last year we share a room, this year we are living next to each other in seperate single rooms) heard the songs. She knows God, but is not in a very personal relationship with God. I played the music, until one day she asked me what it was. I told her it was Chris Tomlin and Steve Fee who was at the Passion conference. One day I asked her to help with my 21st birthday invatations. At first she hesitated, said she had a lot of study to do, but then offered to help. We sat in my room, and I was telling her about the conference and the dvd I was watching. At that time I was watching Hope!! I then told her the whole story of Ashley and how she found God. Through the dvd she began to cry. I told her once before about the Conference and what it meant to me, but she never really got it. I thought then you could tell the story a little bit better. And you did. She got it!! I am so glad I let her watch it with me. She then told me she did not want to study at that time, she wants to watch more of your dvd’s (she has already seen indescribable), so we watched alive and my really bad date!! This has made our relationship so much stonger, because we talk about God and His grace and love for us!! I am so happy to see Jesus living in her heart and working with her as He is doing with me!!! He is just WOW!!!

Lord, thank You so much for all You’ve done through Passion! :-) Thank you that your servants (all those involved in making Passion possible) have been obedient to Your Call, and are answering it with such enthusiasm and humility. Guard them and their families, hold them close and fill them anew with such an out-pouring of Your Spirit that they can’t keep their joy contained! :-) All for Your Glory, Lord!
Sweep through this world and save Your children!
Thinking and praying for all of you! :-) The 3rd leg is gonna be insane!
Love you all :-)

I have just been watching a dvd HOPE. Even though not a college student but a mom of two sons who got into drugs, etc. I often wandered if God was real even though I used to Cling to Jesus the only way I got through was Ps 22. Jesus on the cross kept His eye on the Father and said He is Holy. I am through and Praising my ever Faithful and True Father and Son throught the Holy Spirit. Here are to Poems I wrote in that time that really helped me.
Dear Louis I could identify with what you are teaching and confirming it is the only way when nothing makes sense. LOVE YOU ALL
NIGHTSONG
In the middle of the night;
All hope is gone;
Nothing makes sense;
You wonder …………………….
……………………………….
Is God real?
Is Jesus a bluff?
I’ rather be in hell than this!!!!!!!
SHOCKED
You think……………………….
Surely hell is worse than this!
You can bear it no more;
It’s gone on too long…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
“GOD!
I’M a MESS!!
BUT,
One thing remains fast, my mind cannot deny……….
JESUS IS GOD!
Thank God!
No matter how dark the night,
No matter how confused my mind,
No matter how long it takes…………………..
When I confess,
‘JESUS IS GOD!
HE DIED FOR ME,
HE ROSE AGAIN,
HE SITS AT THE FATHER’S RIGHT HAND.’
HOPE returns
And I know He’s coming back again!
‘MY SAVIOUR LIVES’
Hell disappears into the night,
And
Jesus gives me LIGHT;
LIFTS ME UP;
FILLS MY MOUTH WITH
A SONG IN THE NIGHT!
‘JESUS IS ALIVE,
GOD, MY OWN GOD,
WILL BLESS ME,
GOD WILL BLESS ME.’
HALLELUJAH!!
—————————————————————————————–
Garden of Gethsemane
AGONY
Darker than darkness,
Floods over me,
Heavy pressure,
Surrounds me,
Despair settles down
Into my soul,
Confusion comes
To have fellowship
with me.
Insanity calls out
to me,
Hysteria expresses itself
through me,
And now I am totally undone!
Like a broken guitar string
I follow a path of
Disharmony and disarray!
A lion roars behind me,
Oh!
This is the end of me!
I lie down and wait,
For death to overtake me.
Blackness is all I see.
“Oh dear Lord!
WHERE ARE YOU?’
Slowly, very slowly I remember.
HIS LOVE FOR ME!
Then I see a toothless lion,
He turns and walks away
From me,
DEFEATED!
Light surrounds me,
Hope returns,
Despair fades away,
Humiliation stands me by,
And I know,
My LORD has never left me!
But
showed me a little off His AGONY!
In the Garden of Gethsemane.
“Not my will but yours be done,”
said He,
and took the cup
resisting unto blood
striving against sin.
For me.
PLEASE FEEL TO SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE ANY TIME
SAVIOUR HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN
BLESS YOU ALL IN THE PRESCIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

Tokyo is not anywhere near 3% believing, rather only about .5%, at least according to the IMB (International Mission Board). The Christian population in this country has a much lower percentage than many Muslim nations, and is in desperate need of missionaries to tell the Japanese about Jesus. Keep praying for this country, and go! Good work Passion!

dear louie,
i’m listening to the mexico podcast and it made my week!
i could not (in cape town) scream on the podcast, because i was sick and i had no voice! but hearing all those thousands of voices that i’ve been praying for! wow! wow!
and then…that they were praying for us! and you quoted a blog comment of a girl saying that she’s wearing her wristband until sydney….and that’s ME! wow wow it made my day! so my voice was on the podcast after all ;)
i had to pause my podcast to jump up and down and laugh and scream and cry and just thank God!
you mentioning me on the podcast strengthend me SO much and wow wow wow i do not have words!
the podcasts mean so much to me and i really make time between the studies to listen to you! you are so inspiring! thank you for sharing your faith! i can just hear trough the way you say things that you love God so much and that you absolutely trust in Him alone! you are so humble, louie, and it shows!
a friend of mine once said that one must always try to push everyone around you closer and closer to God, even if they are closer to God than you are.
thank you, louie, for doing just that!
lots of love,
God’s great fan from South Africa :))
