In just a little over a month from right now we’ll be rolling through the doors of The Sports Palace in Mexico City, the largest city in the world and one that’s home to over a million university students. In fact, over 300,000 of them are on one campus, the largest of its kind! As of today, over 13,000 people are coming to Passion Mexico City, a number that’s growing by the hour. There’s a special feeling about what God is going to do there, and great excitement about third leg stops in Vancouver, Seoul, Tokyo (also, the world’s largest city!), Hong Kong and Sydney.
But that’s not to say we’ve forgotten our first eleven stops and the amazing things we have seen and experienced so far. Kyiv will always be special because it was the very first stop and, honestly, we had no idea what to expect right up until the minute the doors opened (and even for a little while after they did). Then, suddenly from nowhere, 4000 smiling, loud Ukrainians (and other Eastern Europeans) rushed in like a massive wave and launched the Passion World Tour in a way that blew our minds and set the stage for all that has followed. And Stockholm, Sao Paulo, Kampala, Paris, London, Manila, KL, Jakarta (are all you guys still with us???)…we love you, too, and not a day goes by that we’re not thinking and talking about you.
Today, we take a last look back at the future and faces of South Africa (congrats guys, you did finally win an Olympic medal in the men’s Long Jump!). We can’t help but smile when we close our eyes and remember the roar that filled Gallagher Estate and The Bellville Velodrome. And not only was what happened inside the venues incredible, you gave 3882 blankets for those in need in Jozi and CT, love out loud and the kind of worship that makes God happy. I love the images above! Your smiles are the hope of a beautiful nation, and the cross that marks you is alone the power to reconcile people to their God and to one another. Never underestimate His power to save. Never count Him out.
We miss you all,
Louie and the Passion Team

Louie, Shelley and team,
Thank you so much for the podcasts and blog updates. For a 1st generation Christian girl from Utah they are a HUGE blessing! (I bet I’m one of the few pod-casters from Utah, aren’t I – boy is everyone else missing out!)
I just wanted to praise the Lord for your ministry and especially for your photographer(s). Being able to some of what you are able to see in conjunction to hearing the people on the podcast, really helps me to feel as if I am a part of Passion. Plus the photographs are absolutely amazing! What artistry and ‘passion’.
Thank you for blessing me!!
God has truly blessed this summer in so many projects…I am reminded of a report of missionaries who went to a part of Africa for 2 weeks and came back with the Lord having blessed with over 20,000 decisions to follow Christ. May our world continue to be open to the story of Jesus’ love in such troubled times!!! Many blessings..
The last leg of the tour is After my Birthday =P ..
Will be praying till PASSION World Tour Ends on October 21 2008 and i wish the best to the PASSION team in moving the youths like me and everyone that feel Young at Heart as no one is old to be moved by Our Lord Jesus
Its truly Amazing to see the Christianity is moving in African countries as i have a Nigerian friend that studies in Malaysia that is a Prayer Warrior; His words are powerful and have great impact in the life’s of the Closely knits in my College Christian Fellowship and Prayer Meets in KDU college
he once shared that one upon a time missionaries from United States, Canada and United Kingdom would send missionaries into Africa but now the role have been reversed.
Malaysia is a Islamic state but we are lucky unlike other countries that can’t embrace Other Religion other then the Main Religion. So i think I’m blessed to be in Malaysia

Wow… thank you for all the beautiful pictures. Each one is an amazing window into a breathtaking world. No wonder you miss it. I’ve been missing the roars on the podcast, too. But what is great is that our God’s praise never fades away or dies down- it only increases the whole world over!
We love you, and continue to lift you up in prayer daily!

“Blessed be the LORD,
Because He has heard the voice of my prayers!
The LORD is my Strength and my Shield;
My heart trusted in Him and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
The LORD is their Strength,
and He is the Saving Refuge of His anointed.
Save Your people,
and bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
and bear them up forever.”
-Ps 28:6-9
We are still with you guys praying for those citys which you be going in the coming month. Thanks for coming to K.L. They was a small group of us who travel from North Malaysia (Penang) to attend Passion K.L. We are bringing the grace & love of God back to Penang & spread them into our community especially the Youth in the northern part of Malaysia. Doing crazy things for the Lord & making him famous.
We are still with you. We are always praying for your tour and for the people who have been blessed with this opportunity. This is such a life changing experience.
Get ready, Mexico! You’re gonna have the time of your life :)
God bless you all.
Passion Team, after the your is finished.. Can you all go back to Manila again for another conference? :D Hehe I am really hoping that you guys will go back again. :)
Props to the photographer(s) that have been part of the WT. They’ve done an excellent job capturing the heart of Passion, embracing a multiplicity of perspectives and peoples, and seizing the action of significant moments. I’ve so much enjoyed their work!
So awesome to be kept updated on the fantastic work you guys are doing!
Cant get enough of 268generation blog! I love seeing how passionate the young christians of the world are.
Praying for you lots.
What is Passion?
Is it the meeting of lovers?
Is it a love you have?
Is it the yearning of the soul for God?
Is it the excitement between Christians,
waiting to start singing, clapping, jumping?
Is it the words that are sung
to God above?
Is it the willingness to serve
wherever you may find yourself?
Is it the way you pray?
Or is it the way you read?
Is it the you you smile
after doing something good?
Knowing that you did not do it FOR Heaven
but BECAUSE OF Heaven!
Is it the way you feel after
uniting with thousands of brothers
and sisters around the world?
Is it a feeling at all?
What is Passion?
Is it the yearning of the soul?
I don’t know about you,
but for me…
Passion is,
was,
and ever shall be,
God.
Thanks Louie and the whole Passion group! Everyone who contributed towards it for inspiring me to write this poem. Thanks for everything guys!
Love, your brother in Christ
Andrew Snyders from CT in beautiful South Africa!!!!!!!
Thanks Nicci, I’ve alway liked writing poems but I always wrote plain, ’stupid’ ones with no meaning and I really felt that I should write a poem about Passion and this is my best poem so far so all praise and honour to God for giving me this talent! I just hope I can use it some more for Him!
I am officially still earing my passion tag..pray that it lasts till last til 3rd October…who knows, maybe beyond…the passion tour has indeed blessed my life tremendously…we love you Louis, Chris and the rest…my prayers will always be with you ALL,

Praise Him for the victory that we have already been given!
Manila is still with you Passion team! Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos. These guyz are also fruitcakes like the rest of us! We are one and united in Christ! Can’t wait for the 3rd leg, on how mightily God will touch the hearts of the participants of the 3rd leg.. With a whooping 13000 students awaiting (and counting) – I know there is already a claimed victory and yet another nation won for Christ! Wow!
Praying with you Passion team..
God bless you Passion team… keep serving Him and walking to His directed path…
It’s amazing to know how JoBurg and Cape Town shaken by HIS grace!
Thanks GOD and Passion Team to make all this things happened around the globe.
I just cut off my Passion Jakarta wristband 3 days ago, many days before I cut it off are filled with the same question asked by my friends:”What’s on your wrist?”, “Loiue just told us to wear it until Saturday when Passion JoBurg held, how come you keep it on your wrist?”, “So it’s waterproof?!?!”.
By keeping it on my wrist reminds me how another university students just like me, around the globe, lift their hands together and pray a change in their city, their country.
Now I get the wristband glued to my cupboard.
Goodluck with Passion World Tour’s 3rd leg, Louie.
Greater things are yet come and greater things are still to be done in this world.
Let GOD arise!

to all the passion team, wow it has been so exciting listening to the podcasts so far and seeing what God has been doing. i think for me one of the most exciting things i have heard yet was the roar of 25000 Ugandan young adults on fire for God. thank you so much for the ministry you are involved in and for the passion you have given me since the 9th Aug to make JESUS famous in my city, where i go and in whatever i am involved in.
we’re praying for you as you rest and prepare for Mexico City, so excited to hear how God moves there.
I am very excited as I read about the blessing God’s pouring all over the world, but I am especially expectant about Passion Mexico City. I learned of Passion movement when I was 13 (six years ago) and since then it has been one of my prayers that Passion would take place in my country, and this is God’s answer. I am certain that He has amazing things in store for M
For the past 3 years, my youth group’s theme has been RIP(Revival In Progress). And for 2 and a half years, it’s been the desire of ours. The leaders and older ones strongly believed we needed a revival.
Recently, something has started to happen, just the past week, my church had a church camp, and for the first time ever we’re seeing youth, as young as 13 (13 is the youngest in our youth group) going up during worship to give a word of prophecy. All through out camp, youth were going up. This camp we could really see something happening in the hearts and lives of the youth.
I can’t help but to believe that this revival in my youth group, was somehow, in one way or another, started by this Passion World Tour. All of us who attended felt blessed and challenged to pray even harder for our youth group.
So I just want to say thank you Passion Team! God Bless. You’re affecting more lives than you can imagine!
-Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan-
Thank you Passion Team for all you do and your passion for the Lord. I continue pray for you and especially the last leg of the Passion World Tour…Mexico you will be abundantly bless!!!
I want you all to know that “a Little Rain” from Cape Town, South Africa has made the decision to accept the grace of God and return to the family of believers.
Thank you for sharing the message of Grace. I didnt get it that night, but couldnt get it out of my head either. And finally, God got it into my heart as well. I thought that was an impossibility.
I am so glad that your visit to our beautiful country was not a hype, but an opportunity to speak TRUTH to people like me.
I just feel so privileged to still feel connected to the Passion team and their tour. Absolutely love all the blog updates, makes one really feel that you are truly part of the body of Christ.
Thank you.
LIZA (A Little Rain)- I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU, SISTER!!!!! :D Praise God for His work in you! You have been in my prayers recently (on Sunday the 24th, especially), and it is soo glorious to hear of how He has recaptured your heart! Keep following after Him with all you’ve got- His plans are going to blow you away! We love you and will continue to pray for you over here! :)
“Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works IN us,
to Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus to ALL generations,
forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20 & 21
Yes! KL is definitely still with you! With you guys all the way!
I must admit, my passion band is off my hand but it’s made it’s permanent residence as my keychain. I bring that purple thing everywhere with me!
Mexico city sounds like it’s going to be fantastic! Praying for all you guys in the Passion team and praying also for the city! Greater things are yet to come!
They just don’t get it. Passion conferences have inspired me from way back. I used to work with the college ministry at my church in Charlotte, NC. I heard all about Passion and was so intrigued by the concept of it being for both young men and women – all at the same time for the most part.
Here I am in Southern Illinois wanting to do the same kind of thing – of course on a much smaller scale – but with a bit older age. My target audience in 25-45 btoh men and women. But they just don’t get it. I don’t want a marriage conference, I don’t want a women’s conference, and I don’t want anything for just men…. I want a Passion for those just a bit older – those that missed out on Passion – like myself – that was not availbale when we (I) were going through school.
Would you please pray for me and the helpers? So far we have booked Curtis Jones, Beth Moore’s son in law, and are waiting to hear from one of the greatest worhsip leaders of all time. I am praying for God’s favor on that one – big time!
I see the vision, I have the passion, now I am just waiting to see it all come together……………..would you pelase pray for us? Feel free to contact me or whatever HE leads you to do. I am excited, but a bit frustrated as well.
THank you for your time!!! I am praying for you all! Love, Leigh Gray
Looking at the pictures just put such a big smile on my face. I’m sitting here in PE, still reeling from Passion CT. Seeing the pictures of my peers – thousands of students just like myself, who love God and love Jesus and want to live for His renown. Sometimes I feel alone and isolated in my faith. But seeing the images and reading the posts … I don’t have words. I have hope for my campus, for this generation and for this country. And I’m excited at what can be done … of what is yet to come. And the role that I can play in making it happen. He is mighty to save and this is His story. And I have never been so excited to be a part of it. Mexico, you are in our prayers.
Hey Louie….WOW the photos is AWESOME!!! I still have flashbacks of that day in JHB everytime we sing one of Chis’s and Fee’s songs at our church here in Potchefstroom. The conference really made a difference in my life..I think you can tell by how many times I have visited this site!! Love to see all the peoples comments. I love it when you talk so much about our country..it’s great!! I love this country!!! God has done so many amazing things after the conference. The more time I spend with Him, the more I enjoy life because He enjoys it with me every second of this great journey. I can’t stop smiling. He is, like you said in my really bad date, my no.1!!! And I just love every moment of it!! Hope you come again soon to this AWESOME country!! We are praying for you and your team all the way to the end!! Mexico, be prepared to be rocked!! Until I visit here again..Bye!!!
hey Louie and the team, thank you so much for all the awesome work you did and inspired in South Afrca, truely the smiles and faces of the young people of this country will shine bright for Jesus and bring the hope needed. may God guide you and bless you even more with His Spirirt as you reach people for Him. your reward is great, becoz God is our reward in His work for His kingdom.
love you guys and holding you in my prayers..
p/s: great pic of the four crazi friend wearing the blue shits (durban crew)with the photos of south africa(im the one with the absolute cute and shinny smily end right) hehe
I am forever changed… I went to church that sunday and people saw a different crazy side to me. Thank you again passion team. Praise our amazing King of Kings, Lord of Lords. GLORY TO GOD FOR EVER! our MIGHTY WARRIOR KING!
I have a question, do any of you guys know where i can buy Louie Giglio’s DVDs (like Indescribable or How Great is Our God) here in Manila, Philippines?
If you have any idea, e-mail me, please — piper.reyes@gmail.com.
Thank you very much!
To the Passion team, may God continue to bless the work you’ve done and the work you are and will be doing :) We here in Manila continue to pray for you. ;)
for sure we’re (Jakarta) will always be with you Passion Team….keep on shaking this earth and Heaven with your lifestyle of worship for our dear Lord Jesus Christ. by the way right now I became ‘passionholic’ :))..right now I’m starting to collecting passion Cd/DVD…once again thank you for being such a blessing for me…Jesus bless
Oh yeah, us in MALAYSIA are still with the Passion team… Have you heard what’s going on here? The demand for RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH to prevail is LOUDLY heard… Indeed, He is GOD of this city!
Continuing to pray for the entire Passion team to bring the flame to every destination, and light hearts across the world for Jesus Christ! God bless!
You bet we in Malaysia r still with you. Many of us can’y seem to get over the passion hangover :-)…I can imagine how my South African cousins jumoed and sang. I have always heard of their style of worship but never been able to witness it.But above all God is monumentally great and there is no one like Him.
Passion only the Lord can totally repay you for what you have done in the nations you passed through. Thanks a million.
We are still with you, and together with all the people who attended the Passion World Tour, we will be praying for the next stops and that the people will be continuously touched by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Well I just want you all to know that you have thrown my whole day off… everything was planned out and organized until I checked my mailbox and found HELLO LOVE waiting. Since then I haven’t been able to concentrate on aything else… its all your fault! ;)
But seriously…wow. And wow, again.
I’ve never heard anything like it in my life. They have made some absolutely amazing albums, but do Chris and the guys ever wonder if this was the album they were destined to create? Like all the other ones might have been made just for this one?
One things is for sure: All of the prayers have been answered-
The name of Chris Tomlin and Band has decreased and Jesus Christ has increased! All glory to God!
Now may Jesus take this album and bring glory to His Name all over the world!
Once again, very well done,
Christis Joy
P.S. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE NEW CHARLIE HALL, DCB, OR CHRIS TOMLIN ALBUM, GO GET THEM- RIGHT NOW (or Tuesday, whichever works :)!
it’s more than amazing how God have worked through Youth globally… keep praying that HIS name would be the most famous in this generations, therefore many youth without hope out there will be SAVED :)! Praise God…
it has been 1month sharp since passion KL…(4weeks)…
song of God of the City is still sang all these while and story of fruitcake is spreading around….
Mexico, get ready to be rocked by the Passion team…
v will pray for you….
I pray that this mini break between legs allowed you to be refreshed and renewed. If the emotion from Joburg was anything to go by, you guys must get blown away each and every time you do this, and that’s hard for our physical body to withstand.
I pray that what I was able to be a part of is magnified in the countless hearts of those who have been on the conferences, and those who are yet to go.
May God protect you in all you do, and the new plans for Atlanta.
Still amazed and changed… the pics is beautifull. I will keep you in my prairs! Have great hope for all your stops. My you find the rest you need and my you be blessed. Can’t wait for next year!
I don’t know how stupid I sound when I keep saying the same thing over and over because every time I try to express how freaking awesome God is I don’t find the words to express it. I’m still changed, but still the same and it feels amazing. We are all unbelievably blessed.
I just watched a video that you all did in 2000, you called Botswana and talked to the missionary there in Gaborone, his last name was Mathis we have been there now for seven years, five hours north in a town called Francistown. The prayer request was for God to break down the walls in Botswana so people could truly recieve Jesus as thier Savior and hear the word. I just wanted to write and say, I think God is answering that prayer. We are starting to see people truly see where they are and to know truths about Jesus for the first time. All praise to God for what he is doing. God never forgets the prayers given to him on behalf of others. The song that was sung by Chris Tomlin in Setswana, when we were appointed in 2001, that was the first song we heard in our language before we arrived on the field. May God Bless
It’s cold and wet in Cape Town. The air is filled with dark clouds and although I should be getting on with my assignments, I decided to check out what’s happening on 268 blog.
I read a few entries and suddenly I was overwhelmed with this warm feeling in the centre of my heart, breaking through the cold and wet circumstances here in Cape Town. suddenly I realised that that is just exactly what passions does – they break through the cold and give love and warmth to people through God’s amazing love.
Passions team and Mexico city, you are all in my heart and prayers!
Praise God for His sovereign orchestration to bring Passion to Vancouver. I was blessed to worship our Great God with fellow believers on this scale in a city that is so full of beauty but most people don’t connect it to its maker. It feels so secular that sometimes you feel worship sucked out of your heart and lungs even though your natural response to seeing his creation all around you is to worship. How much I love the beauty of creation here, but how much more I need and want to see the beauty of Jesus, my creator and redeemer in his fullness fill and make this city truly beautiful. I need strength to worship. What an artist. This evening was evidently put together by His design.
I found myself heading to the evening with hope and optimism that God can penetrate the darkness and grayness of this city. That he could light a fire in our hearts that wouldn’t be drowned by the rain of unbelief around us. How great it was to have these gifted musicians lead us in worship and Louie to stir our hearts to see God more acurately.
I realized at one point, wow, here we are in a unique gathering in this place, no where else in the whole globe, this night. In this moment, to testify that God is Mighty to Save in this city. Humbling. I was refreshed in my hope in God’s ability to work in my life and save me. I took opportunity throughout the evening to look at all these young men and women for whom I give my life energy and time influencing on campus at UBC and was calling out to God that they would know that God is mighty to save them and the city in which they live, to take steps of faith together that they would be stirred to see the renown of Jesus.
My thoughts prayerfully moved forward for an outreach we are doing in January where we will have Porn Star Ron Jeremy debate Micheal Lehee, a Christian who was a former porn addict. We are trusting that God will expose the darkness and bring healing to many souls. As a person who has fought many battles and won some and lost some in this area, I trust God that he can use this event to reach thousands of others. Please join us in prayer for this event. Please pray and join us in trusting that God will use this event to bring broken people into his kingdom, just like Ashley, just like me, just like you. I encourage you to live out the essence of what we focussed on tonight moment by moment by the Holy Spirit and getting involved for his kingdom where you are at. If not involved, join a movement of God’s people who are passionate about Jesus and taking his message to the world.

The LORD is my Strength and my Shield;
My heart trusted in Him and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
The LORD is their Strength,
and He is the Saving Refuge of His anointed.
Save Your people,
and bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
and bear them up forever.”

What is Passion?
What is Passion?
Is it the meeting of lovers?
Is it a love you have?
Is it the yearning of the soul for God?
Is it the excitement between Christians,
waiting to start singing, clapping, jumping?
Is it the words that are sung
to God above?
Is it the willingness to serve
wherever you may find yourself?
Is it the way you pray?
Or is it the way you read?
Is it the you you smile
after doing something good?
Knowing that you did not do it FOR Heaven
but BECAUSE OF Heaven!
Is it the way you feel after
uniting with thousands of brothers
and sisters around the world?
Is it a feeling at all?
What is Passion?
Is it the yearning of the soul?
I don’t know about you,
but for me…
Passion is,
was,
and ever shall be,
God.
Thanks Louie and the whole Passion group! Everyone who contributed towards it for inspiring me to write this poem. Thanks for everything guys!

August 24th, 2008 at 2:43 PM
Amen! All glory and honour and praise to Him!
I’m sure you will!! What a fantastic gift God has given you!

Warm greetings from Jakarta,

to all the passion team, wow it has been so exciting listening to the podcasts so far and seeing what God has been doing. i think for me one of the most exciting things i have heard yet was the roar of 25000 Ugandan young adults on fire for God. thank you so much for the ministry you are involved in and for the passion you have given me since the 9th Aug to make JESUS famous in my city, where i go and in whatever i am involved in.
we’re praying for you as you rest and prepare for Mexico City, so excited to hear how God moves there.

I learned of Passion movement when I was 13 (six years ago) and since then it has been one of my prayers that Passion would take place in my country, and this is God’s answer. I am certain that He has amazing things in store for M

Hey Passion Team!!

Thank You, Jesus, for not letting me go.

Passion to the nations!
August 26th, 2008 at 6:12 PM

Mexico, get ready to be rocked by the Passion team…
v will pray for you….

Thanks team! :)
Take care and take heart.

I don’t know how stupid I sound when I keep saying the same thing over and over because every time I try to express how freaking awesome God is I don’t find the words to express it. I’m still changed, but still the same and it feels amazing. We are all unbelievably blessed.
Praying for Mexico City and the rest.
