A Massive Wave Of Filipino Response!
The Wave Is Growing!
Though we are waking up to Kuala Lumpur (having traded the chaos and craziness of Manila for the sky scrapers and mosques of KL), we still have our new Filipino friends in our hearts!! And how could we not, especially after they have completely taken over the Blog. 200+ comments!! What?!?! That’s an all-time record and just shows how strong the connection was in PhilSports Arena Friday night. Thank you for such a warm welcome to the Philippines and for being a part of a generation that really desires nothing more than to make Jesus famous with our lives. We love you guys so much and have been humbled and encouraged by your (many) responses and your promise of prayers for the students of Kuala Lumpur!
It’s been a quick trip to KL, with an introduction to a brand new culture, and the expectation is high for something special here tonight. Please pray for special grace and strength on our lives and voices as we lead.

GRABE. (that’s Filipino for UNBELIEVABLE) All my churchmates and I who were at Passion are never going to take off our wristbands! it sounds kinda gross.. But yeah. :)) We still have a major Jesus freak hangover and we’re sooo blessed and I, personally, never want this high to end.

I was elated to be part of the event! We made JESUS FAMOUS!!! Let the people of the world know how we Filipinos made Jesus famous. And as we declared while we sang The God of this City…Great things are yet to be done in this city…Manila represents the Philippines and I extend the declaration in our whole country. Great things are yet to be done in our troubled (we really need God) country!
I agree 100% with louie that we Filipinos has this kind of spirit (high spirited) and I believe God had specially designed us that we can go anywhere around the world, we break through cultural barriers and make a difference in peoples lives by just by being with them. This is how we can make Jesus famous with our lives. I pray that your message on making our short lived flames (life) count by burning with God’s flame (God’s fame – renown) burn in us…and rush like a wildfire in our nation.

The energy in me from Friday doesn’t seem to be dying anytime soon! It’s like we have a hangover!
I’m still wearing the Passion wristband until tonight, in support of KL! (And I discovered the wristband is WATERPROOF! HAHA!)

actually, you don’t have to subscribe… just go to http://passionpodcast.libsyn.com/ …however, you have to download the audio before you can listen…well,it’s still the same coz wen you stream the audio through the net, the computer saves the file in some sort of temporary folder, the only thing is that you can hear the part that has been already downloaded… i don’t know if that made sense…
anyway, it’s really crazy to know that we Filipinos are still united and will always be united carrying the fame of our one and only Savior…and the night where it all began will always be in our hearts and we’ll be praying that God will also do the same to other countries…

our youth from Kamuning Bible Christian Fellowship (yes, a CF too!) who were there on 080108 are all still wearing the bracelet until today and keeping you guys in prayer as you kick off KL and then on to Jakarta and then Johannesburg! God is Lord of this city, God is Lord of this earth! Halleluiah!
just to give you an update on what’s happened since Friday night — with the fire you guys have burst aflame in all of us through your love and passion for Jesus:
–several unsaved youth have watched Hope When Life Hurts Most by you Louie, and guess what, they’ve joined God’s Kingdom, too! Praise the Lord, please pray with us as we help water the seed of the Gospel in their hearts and that they too will grow into a vibrant relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit!
–our church kicked off another round of Evangelism Explosion training today for both adults and youth! A bunch of adults and 6 youth leaders will be engaged in 13 weeks of EE training as they prepare to become equipped and enabled fishers of men! Halleluiah! Please pray with us that the fire of Jesus will keep burning in their hearts, igniting their schools, campuses and workplaces for the Lord Jesus and His kingdom here on earth!
–our youth group called Ignite will be watching Facing the Giants today, this wonderfully beautifully film that we hope will stir up in the hearts of our youth this intense and overwhelming desire to face their giants head-on with the power of Christ working in and through them; to let go and let God take total loving control of their whole life; to live every step and breath for God, giving it their 100%; to braving through the storms of life with joy and complete trust in God; and to really just marvel at how and when God works through everything. Please pray even for the souls who will be harvested today for His Kingdom!

I’m one of the youth minister in our church, and im handling high school student.. going to their schools and preach the gospel.. after that Friday night, i pray to God that when time comes I’ll be doing the ministry that you have.. going to other places and encourage more youths to be hardcore for God..

Last Friday was such a blessing to us. We all have been so blessed by God. All the singing and dancing was so much fun. Its so great to praise and worship God with other Christians. We live for Jesus. This country is for Him alone. So… Philippines must make a mark in Passion’s mind. =]]
But yes, we will be remarkable if the Passion people remembers that Tomlin wasn’t the worship leader anymore in the “How Great is Our God” portion. The line-up was BROKEN by God’s move. Holy Spirit moves UNPREDICTABLY! Loved that. =]]

Would you believe yesterday, while getting crazy in the song “Sing sing sing” We met other youth people too! :D It’s like we’ve known each other for so long already but no, we just met there! We talked about how crazy we looked just dancing there and that we have such an amazing God. He trully is.

i think you should’ve included JAKARTA as well in our wristbands.. we can also pray for them and as you can see, seems like none of us wants to remove these wristbands…
and just so you know, Filipinos are MUSIC LOVERS so we can easily sing to the tune even when it’s new to us. and also we have already sang most of Chris’ songs during our praise and worship in our Sunday services and gatherings…

GOD is AWESOME !!!
I was really blessedand touched by the event, specially by the story of ashley and fruitcake. GOD really works in mysterious ways in ways we cannot see.
To Louie and the Passion Team I believe that GOD will do a tremendous movement to our brothers and sisters in KL.
The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD will make a wave no opposition can deter from happening. I believe there will be a great reaping of the harvest. Praise GOD for you guys, thanks for including us in your tour we really needed a boost of GOD’S encouragement. I am praying even now that the team will be able to visit us again the soonest time possible. Our D-12 Group here in the Philippines are one in praying for you guys, as promised. WoW!!! we Are blessed By God through this Passion Conference held here in ULTRA, Pasig City last aug. 1st ‘08. Up to now i can’t believe that Passion was sold out it’s more than 8,000 crowd gathered i guess up to 10,000 attended that night. I have a copy of INDESCRIBABLE tour in dvd form as i watch this last year God is moving in other way we took for granted just look up in the massives stars in the night you will see His Indescribable! there is a portion in that dvd the That promotes PASSION conference so i was excited & pray that this team would consider us here & leaving a messages @ http://www.268generation.com @ sign at guestbook!! there we have it an answered prayered & we will see in each every single corner around our metropolis That Jesus will move & made renown to every persons in every cities nationwide!! Hmmm……Can’t find the right words to describe tonight’s experience. It was a wonderful time in God’s presence as many nations represented in one nation here in KL praised and worshipped God together with one voice. We really had a wonderful time out here. I will forever re-live the experience.

Hi. I know i’m just one of the many Filipinos that were blessed last August 1, 2008. That night really meant a lot for me and i want to thank you guys for it. I really, really, really believe that greater things are yet to come for our country. People may look at us and think that our country is already hopeless but my hope…our hopes go beyond what is seen. And knowing that passionate people like you guys and Koreans (i’ve experienced a conference there) are praying for us, it makes me feel really, really grateful.
Thank you, thank you so much. I really pray that what happened there did not just end when we left Ultra. I pray that many people here will seek God more and more everyday…
Again, thank you for your passion to share God’s words and thank you for your love for our country and for all believers. May you continue to touch lives and win souls for Jesus.

no words.. no words can ever define what had happened, it’s been days ago, but still.. i can still hear every Filipino in that place.. audible.. ringing in my head, the praises that sang in that night.. beautiful.. if ever there will be a word created to describe the most beautiful thing in this world, still that word will not compensate to define the Lord’s GREATNESS AND GLORY that night.. it’s still ringing.. at this very moment, i cry just remembering the concert, God’s presence is still tangible.. my soul can’t contain it, my heart..overwhelmed.. but still, God isn’t done yet, no.. He’s still to do more astonishing and world shaking things than this!! One day will come that every son of God will shake the very foundations of the earth, and I’m eagerly anticipating it.. I’ll never forget that night, not in a million years, even if I’m with HIM in heaven.. I love you Passion Group, I love every Filipino, most of all.. I love Jesus :)

This is my second message to you since Y2001.
Remember when I asked you to bring Passion Movement in our nation?
I thank you for fulfilling your promise.
I was there…just 3 rows in front of the stage… Please don’t get mad if I was there even if the conference was for college students.
I was with my lovely wife.. (yes I already am married with 3 kids =)
I waited too long for this to happen. Finally it did…It just didn’t happen years before…
I wanted to thank God so much for answering my prayers…for letting the Filipino people experience the beauty of God
I pray that you can come back with the whole Passion Group and possibly do a larger gathering in the tradition of Oneday in a much bigger venue.
We’ll pray for the church you’ll be planting in the US… I will also be praying for the church you will plant here in the Philippines, I know it’s not far.. I can see it coming… coz nothing is impossible with God.
We’ll pray for your other destinations…May they proclaim God victorious in their cities as well.

As I get into knowing and experiencing God one thing becomes more and more clear. That is, all that I am, all that I ever have been, and all that I ever will be is totally one hundred percent a result of God’s everlasting grace. I’ve been soo much blessed during the night I’ve witnessed God’s way of goodness at the time He let Chris tomlin’s Godly and omnipotent band came into Manila. it was indeed a night of goodness, glorifying God’s merciful power and a unity among the Filipino people. im so much happy for they had penetrated as far as the Philippines, as well around the globe, just to proclaim God’s greatness and glorious power over the world. to all those believers and Non-believers who came, a JOB WELL dONE! guys. it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience… hope there will be another event this coming years..yeah! Friday night was over but you know what, the following night (Saturday night, Aug.2) I was heading for a meeting with a client at one of the very famous city within Manila, The Global City in The Fort…. I was so thrilled to find some young people still wearing their wrist band =)
I wore mine til Sunday night and prayed for KL til today :) And I hope this is not embarassing (this will really reveal that I’m really just young at heart and not my mind=) I need to wear my wrist band so that i will not forget the blog’s address! LOL! hahaha!=))

God is always on the go…
Passion Team, I thank you guys for letting God use you to connect people all around the world…people who have the same passion, who have the same purpose…of God’s. I am sure that all of us were encouraged to be a “FRUITCAKE” for someone out there.
I am listening to the, “Thrilla In Manila” podcast over and over and everytime i listen to it seems like the first time and seems like i am still there with all God’s people lifting my hands to God and shouting to honor and bless his Name. It has literally given me the chills and goosebumpbs and made me teary-eyed over and over again exactly at the same exact minute the podcast has played…try it..at 13:50 onwards…
God bless you more Passion Team, May God’s grace and protection be with you always as you continue to be fishers of men for Christ Jesus.

Can I just share a little testimony from that night, Aug.1? I “sowed” P200.00 when the invitation was made to give to KL, and 3 hours later, when I got home, I received (or “reaped”) a very unexpected P5,000.00!! Is the Passion ministry FERTILE SOIL or what??? I can’t wait to give again!! I love you, Passion! God is so PLEASED with you!! Keep on being a fertile, fruitful, FAITHFUL ground! :-)

Its bEen awhiLe when i’ve watched the Passion, it’s really an amazing experience for me specially it was my first time to watch louie and a live band in my whole entire life and God really use louie to share the word in the entire world…for me it’s really unexplainable and undeniable experience…..

..but, whenever i think of how God moved in Manila, i just feel sooooo much alive! and my burdens just go poof! haha
..i really feel so blessed and i’m wishin and prayin that, if God wills, i could pull my three close friends to the next Passion Manila concert.. bigger venue?? *hint *hint
..one of them was actually quite curious about how crazy the event was [i'm prayin that her relationship with Jesus would be strengthened]

HI! JUST WANT TO SHARE MY BLOG ENTRY (MULTIPLY SITE) THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT.. :D HALLELUJAH TO OUR BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR!

Just had a wonderful night at the Passion Concert in Ultra.
It was a total out-of-this-world event I will never forget for the rest of my earth life.
Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill rocked the Ultra down with awesome, heavenly songs backed up with Louie Giglio’s inspiring revelations! It was amazing!
One thing that never left me until now was the promise that God had His eyes on our country, that we are special and that we are never forgetten! As we were singing “God of this City”, I heard a voice saying “You are my first born..” several times! this made me fall on my knees and thank God for such assurance and covenant!
I was also astounded seeing all the young people raising their hands and singing their hearts out all for Jesus, that was a total heart-warming sight for me!
Another remarkable thing that happened last night was when we get to pray for Kuala Lumpur since that is the next destination of the Passion team. Louie, at the middle part of the concert, told us that London prayed for us here in Manila, the concert was held at their place last June and they kept us in prayers until the Manila concert yesterday (August 1).
There were the wrist bands given to us before we got in to Ultra.. later did we know that when we flip it…
It has Passion Kuala Lumpur tag! :D
And now it was our turn, so we yelled our cheers for K.L as the videographers shot us. I had goosebumps as we were doing it! I totally felt that there is an invisible chain linking all of us to all the cities Passion would set there feet at.
And as I checked Passion at Youtube, I witnessed the video showing London’s young people shouting the same prayers for us and ended with all of them shouting “Manila”! (visit this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36pLMSzct14)
Gosh, I was in total shock upon seeing those people cheering for our city! Amazing!
Despite that we were sweat and rain drenched as we go home… the fun, tears, crazy dance, Ultra roars and jumps we did were able to compensate all the arrgghh moments we had before we were able to reach Ultra! it was all worth it!
All the glory and heart felt thanks to the Beautiful Savior and God of this city!

am in awe of what GOD can just do in this world. in awe of everything HE has done, HE is doing, and HE will be doing….
from creation to eternity, we’ll just say “yes, Lord”.
i just finished listening to the 23mins and 20secs podcast, and there. indecribable……..

I’ve just read the blog about Indo-mania and I’m glad that the Passion there was a success. KL-we really prayed for you for days and personally I wore the wrist band until Aug.3 for you guys
God is really amazing. I’m truly grateful that He used the Passion Team as instruments to inspire and bring more people to Him. I had a great night when they were here in the Philippines despite the rain and long line which I’m thankful for since long line means lots of people right? It made me happy to see that there were a lot of Christians who were enthusiastic to worship and praise God.

The Passion concert in ULTRA was awesome…I am so blessed to encounter and feel God’s presence in that place. Guys, kindly pray for my family as we encounter a big family problem….Hope that my daddy’s heart will be touched by God for him to show again love and compassion to my mother..I was really disappointed to my dad’s attitude because he is speaking God’s word inside our church. God is so amazing.Really.
I came on Passion Manila without expecting anything that I could get from it.
My sister just brought me there, she told me that it was a concert.And me, having attended lots of youth camps and youth services (and concerts as well) agreed thinking that it will be just the same things that I see every time I attend one.I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT SOMETHING THAT WOULD HAVE A HUGE IMPACT IN MY LIFE.Indeed, God put me there with a purpose.
August 1, 2008 was really awesome.That was the first time I experienced such.And I pray that that would not be the last time that I will experience one.
I am blessed with the Passion team.We feel the amazing glory of God because you guys manifest the passion you have through worship.So amazing.
I believe that there is still more to come.More of God’s amazing plans for you and me.

I am so blessed on what happened on the 1st day of August 2008. It was the first time I experience that concert and it makes me feel so great. It is that God is with us!!
With the songs, it touched my life and it really makes me cry.I really love the song INDESCRIBABLE, I searched its lyrics in the internet and wishing that I memorize it..That night I remember my throat having sore but still I sing the songs ang shouting for our Lord’s Fame!!

Hi passion team.
I was in the Passion Conference and I was really amazed by God’s word. The preaching of the word really became real to me. It has been almost a month since the concert yet I still remember what Louie Giglio said that evening.
Thank you very much for coming to Manila.

I saw a friend of mine who went with me to Passion, and he still has his wristband on, and it’s clear. :O as in, no more color. :)) It’s kind of funny.
Passion is still alive in our hearts. :) We’re still bringing on the freaks, bringing on the life of worship for our God.
