JOZI Rocks!!
The final session of an amazing all-day Passion JoBurg ended about an hour ago and my ears are still ringing and my heart is really full. What can I say, Passion loves Africa, and the thought that we came here today with a tidal wave of Indonesian love behind us is quite humbling. Jakarta, your thoughts and prayers lifted us to places we could not have gone without you, so from our Passion team and the 6000 people who filled the world’s longest hall at “The Gallagher” today–THANK YOU!
Honestly, I’m not sure I can sum up today in a simple blog post, but let’s just say from 10AM, when “Hello JoBurg” hit the screens, it was on, and things just kept building right through to the end. And all day long the cross was huge, and the belief that this beautiful nation and it’s people are on the brink of something large, holding in their hands the hope of a nation that very well might be the hope of a continent, fueled our worship.
FEE absolutely blew up the place and the Tomlin crew were, as always-amazing! But this day belonged to a much more massive name and was all about and totally for the fame of Jesus in SA and the world. As the pic shows, Do Something Now was happening here, worship and justice joined, as 2300 blankets were provided for those in need in the Johannesburg area. That was a cool thing and an encouragement for you guys coming to SOLD OUT Cape Town next week to bring one from home for the needy of your city as well.
JoBurg, it’s your turn to pray and keep the wave going around the world. I forgot to mention, but on the inside of your wrist band-thing it says Passion Cape Town, and it would be really sweet if you’d turn yours inside out and keep it on until next Wednesday as a reminder to pray for what God has for us that night.
God is alive in SA and raising up a beautiful generation of God-lovers in this nation. It’s real. It’s His grace. It’s what God is doing. And it’s an awesome thing. We have seen their faces, heard their prayers, felt their love and sensed that they are poised to take their place in this unstoppable Church Jesus is building here and around the globe. And we are with them, and all of you who want to live to make Jesus famous in this generation!
“Take my life and let it be all for You and for Your glory, take my life and let it be Yours!”

August 9th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
To the Passion Team .. We love you guys !! Thank you for blessing us tonight… it was awesome!!! All for JESUS and all for HIS glory !!!
August 9th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
WOW!
Thanks team for an amazing experience!
It was so stunning to be with a whole group of other young guys and be able to go “crazy” for God and know it was ok, and to also then know its ok to keep it together too!
What hit home for me was about rededicating your life to Christ vs. surrender. Its been a huge weight for me, and tonight just gave it a better perspective.
As I said- WOW! It was a life changing night for a lot of us, which I hope will let us shine into our city and change this land for God.
Thanks again, I hope everyone gets some well deserved sleep over the next days, that our screaming doesnt ring in your ears and that the move to Cape Town is easy!
GB and thanks again

I just arrived home, after 12 hours of worshiping the one and only God! Thanks Louie for reminding us how AWESOME our God is! The light of God is alive in our city and this is the country for change! The only thing that can keep God from saving this country, is our disbelieve! Today I realised, again, that God can bring change that God can heal and that He is the reason for our being! I truly believe that He can work His magic in SA and imagine what could happen if 6000 believers believe in the same thing…! Thank you Lord for Your grace! You give without receiving! I want this world to know that God lives, His fire is unstoppable and its taking over this nation!
May all my prayers be with Cape Town! Go on Mother City of SA, put a smile on Gods face, cause I’m sure he’s smiling as He is looking at His beautiful from out of Heaven! Our Jesus concord the grave!
Thanks again Louie and team
God bless

“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit and those who worship him, must worship in spirit and in truth” John 4 v 23 - 24
We are the generation that claims RSA for Christ!!
August 9th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
All of Africa praises God that you took up his banner and that he sent you to visit us, to bring his message so far from the comfort of your own beds.
All praise, honour and glory be to God. My prayer is that every single “Ashley” is turned into “Fruitcakes”, and that God will use all of us “nutters” to get it done.
Thank you to all the Passion team for an awesome worship event that put the Glory of God up as high as us mere humans can get it. GLORY TO GOD FOREVER
August 9th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
Ek dink die hele 6000 mense vat vanaand da was sal met my saam stem die hele dag was INDESCRIBIBLE!! There is no one like our GOD…

Mag Kaapstad die genade van God woensdag voel nes ons vandag gedoen het. Danki vi almal wat vandag moontlik gemaak het en spesifiek vir ons Almagtige Vader. Amen

August 9th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
I cannot thank you guys enough for coming here. Today was an answer to a prayer I wasn’t sure God was going to answer in the near future. We came as a group from Pretoria and it became obvious during the trip to Jozi that the devil wasn’t too keen on us going to Passion (broken car, miraculous escape from accident). I can see now why. God reached me and my friends in new ways and places I didn’t know existed in my spiritual being. Cape Town we Pray for you guys, Louie and the Bands and everyone else involved, we’re praying for you too.
Keep it up and be blessed and a blessing.

God is so HUGE and so amazing and Jesus is the highest name we will ever have the privilege of singing about and we just got to do it for 12 hours! I am so humbled by grace, even though I know about it, sung about and even spoken to others about it before, I was once again brought to my knees at how truly amazing God’s grace and love for us actually is. South Africa and the world is in for a revival with our generation rising up to take its place for Jesus’ fame and God’s glory. How truly incredibly awesome it is that I along with the 6000 people there tonight get to stand in the front lines for God, the hope of Africa rests in us SA, through Christ Jesus our Saviour.
Thank You so so very very much to everyone who contributed to today!! Passion.. wow! Just imagine how many lives will be touched by what went down in JHB today! Thank you

What a mind blowing event! Seeing over 6000 people praising our Lord in one place is a real sight for sore eyes and hearts!
Thank you to the ENTIRE Passion Team for your obedience to His call!
Louie,
your messages cut straight through all the junk and hit a spot in my heart that make His word come alive and real. I have never had a real rolemodel in my life, but I can safely say that you became one for me today. Not because you speak well, or give awesome sermons, but there is a humility in you that is inspiring beyond measure. You give the glory straight bach to Jesus, which quite frankly no worldly role models do!
Big ups to you all!
Jesus IS alive and yes we belong to HIM!
All God’s wonderful blessings
Nino

Wow, today was so amazing!
Thanks you guys for coming to Jozi and sharing this wonderful message with us, it really touched our hearts and especially Ashley’s story… It reminds me of the story of the woman who brought a flask filled with precious perfume and poured it out on Jesus head… Jesus said:”wherever this good news is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will be told also, in memory of her.” Wow girl, your story are bringing glory to our Lord, all over the world everywhere it is told! May all of our lifes be like that, whether in living or dying, that it can be said while we lived we lived such a life that brought glory to God!
Cape Town hold onto your seats cause this wave is going to hit hard, we are praying for you guys!
Blessings.

“Praise the Lord, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord.” Psalm 117
We were as one in worship tonight and I am certain that angels rejoiced with us as hearts and minds were reached by Jesus through the Passion event.
Thank you to everyone who made it happen, your faithfulness is sure to be rewarded in heaven.
The words of Chris Tomlin’s song, “God of this City” really struck a chord with me tonight;
“For greater things
Have yet to come
And greater things
Are still to be done in this city”
We were born for such a time and place as this, let us make Jesus famous in our city, in our country and throughout the world, for as we sang tonight, “He is mighty to save.”
I will be praying for everyone at the Cape Town event.
May the spirit of our Lord be with you all.

WOW! Thank you for serving, giving and sharing your passion for God with us in Jo’burg! The time spent together with the Passion team was awesome and blessed. God is huge and yet He cares about the small, sincere parts of our lives that we bring in worship before Him - through the teaching and songs at the Passion tour event there were ‘magnifyer’ moments where I realized how God sees what I do and who I am before Him. All the Glory, all the honour and all the praise to God almighty! For His glory; my life for God’s glory. Where He calls or send I shall go. Thank you for your encouragement and the witness you bear by your lives.
I am praying for you and the rest of the tour. (Cape Town included.)
Blessings in abundance in Jesus.
Amjé.

From The Mighty Men’s conference, to this passion tour, we can clearly see that God is in Africa.
Joburg: City of Gold, centre of the Rainbow Nation. Heart of Africa. For you I have 2 words: “Yebo Nkosi”
Thanks to the Passion crew for all the hard work that went into delivering the most awesome event that many of us have ever experienced. May your ministry grow deeper and more fruitful with each passing moment.

“Have you heard of facebook” he asks…pfff Louie you rascal you
August 9th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
WOW!, Breath-taking, ministry in its truest form=lives SOLD FOR JESUS and for His Glory and His fame in this generation. I was remained of a vision I had on the picture of Heaven composed of people from every Nation and Tribe, gathered in one place to give glory and honor to this King over ALL-JESUS. May our generation leave a mark in History as those that were not only Hearers of God’s Word but Doers of It, bringing His Kingdom through the lives we live and making them count for eternity.
With all that said….THANK YOU LOUIE, CHRIS, FEE and the team for pulling this whole event together to re-ignite the passion in us to keep going… holding fast till the end! And to my Brothers and sisters “Big-ups” for coming through- to all my UJ People and Wits Buddies…Yeah, Yeah!
August 9th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
What an amazing day! Our ears are still ringing!! What a priviledge to have been a part of passion Johannesburg 2008! What a priviledge to be proudly South African and to belong to Jesus!
God is so great and as the lyrics go “there is still great things to be done in this city” we cannot wait to be the pioneers of it!
We believe that we have a climate of hope, a currency of faith an we live in peace!
Our lives were greatly impacted by this day and all that happened! Cape Town… Brace yourselves!!!
August 9th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
AMAZING GRACE!!!!!Those two words sum up the experience I had tonight at PASSION-JOZI.
Two important verses the first one Africa needs to know and believe as a continent
1) Isaiah 43 v18-21, and for everyone else reading
2) 2Corinth 5 v 21
MAXIMUM love, dina.
August 9th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
Shoo! I can’t believe that I’m still up all because I cannot get over the awesome experience I had today at Passion Jo-burg.
I got there just realising a lot of my sin and after a lot of ’should I go or shouldn’t I go… have a test on Monday…’, I’m glad that I made the choice of going and I know that many had that decision to make. Oh yes!
I’m taken by all the experience but my greatest prayer for all is that I hope the event was not just a spiritual high experience. Instead I hope people continue to live for the glory of God in the “jungle” we live in. May we be relevent to the “Ashlys” in our lives, may we not be afraid to be the “Fruit cakes” as we are making a difference even when it does not show immediately or the way we expect it to. The grace of God is sufficient for all.
Oh my goodness! I just want to go on and on but I would not finish. May all be compelled by Christ’s love because you were convinced by the promises, reminders or realisations.
Cape Town get ready!!!!
August 9th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
woooooooooooooow
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!
INCREDIBLE!!
PRAISE THE LORD!
August 9th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
I often say silly things without focussing on the real big issues (even to they are there in my mind, just not in the fore) and come across as ignorant… but I’m not, I think, so forgive me.
anyway… I didn’t know nothing about nothing. It just so happened that sometime very early on This year Carol showed us the Dvd of Louie (Love that guys energy on stage… he’s not trying at all. like he was meant to be there telling us so passionately about the one thing that matters the most… JESUS… CHRIST). Right, so I was saying about the Dvd I saw of Louie early in the year was in Church (Courtesy to Pastor Carol, of His People Wits universty) and you were talking about astronomy and related it to God and his wonderful his creation is… Iwas truely touched like you can’t belive! And tonight when you came through and was there I cried at the end when “Indecribable - Amazing God” was played. you opend up my through out, and answered alot of my questions. I’m one of those people, who commited, recommitted and recommitted after that… and after that, and I was nearing a stage where I was losing hope in myself. Now Iknow to have faith in Jesus, not me… only he can fix me (YHO, YHO, YHO!… AM i MESSED UP, or rather messing up!) but yeah, it’s a process, I’ll get there!
anyway thank you, sorry for writing such a long letter/ comment!
laterz!
Thank you so much ya’ll!

‘take my life and let it be, all for you and for your glory, take my like and let it be yours’.
Being a christian doesn’t make me a better person than any other. I was dead but God brought me to life and the life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who loved me to help me as a dead person.
I dont want to live a 5 second life but one of eternity… Reminder to all.
Its amazing how God brings nations together all for HIS glory.

So good to hear the wonderful praises of this event….Nehemiah 41: “When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, 2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria , he said, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble-burned as they are?” 4 Hear us, O our God, for we are despised. . . . 6 So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.TODAY is about our calling when we are half way there — when the wall of our ministry and life is half built. Almost every song speaks in some way to this crossroads, the place where we could turn back from exhaustion or discouragement from the taunts of our enemies, or continue in the grace and strength of God. It’s at this junction that God calls us to be worshipping warriors, not fighting battles as the world does, but in purity as sons and daughters of the Most High. Our Faithful Father is inviting us to dream again, even though some of our dreams have died. In light of that, we make the Joshua choice today and say “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” We don’t make this choice just for our lives, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF THOSE GENERATIONS TO COME, AND TO LINK UP WITH THE GENERATIONS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US!”(Brian Doerksen, Worship Leader)~~marye, atlanta, ga

Yes Lord!!
I only heard about Passion from a couple of friends about a week before, ond WOW I’m glad I put previous plans aside and spent the day with GOD! The whole day was absolutely amazing with the presence of God moving in the hearts of everyone there.
The message was so simple yet so compelling, I praise God for the way that He speaks though His servants.
One of my prayers is that as we all start this brand new day we will remember God’s Glory and shine for Him, now and for the rest of our lives. Lives that would not have a purpose were it not for GOD!!
You are amazing Lord and I love you and want to live my life for you!

My dearest brothers and sisters of Passion,
Can one be speechless with awe and yet at the same time feel ready to explode with words telling of and praising our God for His greatness, glory and love? I am!
I do and will always count Passion Jo’burg as one of the greatest days of my life. Paul may have been taken up into heaven during his life where he saw indescribable things, but I got to go to Passion and I’m not complaining! God blazed His glory into my heart yesterday and gave me an experience of His awesomeness that set me on fire for Him and for the fame of Jesus like I have never been.
I had joined the 268 Generation a few years ago, but then was rocked my a series of life changing storms. Although my love for God remained, I never felt the sold-out fire blaze in my heart as strong as it had before the storms. Yesterday at Passion God revived the passion for Him that I had those years ago and gave me an even greater passion, one that will blaze on through both joy and pain!
To Louie and everyone of the team, I love you and my heart is knitted together with yours. I will carry you in my heart and prayers always. Thank you with all I am! I pray that God will allow our paths to cross again many more times in this life.
Louie, if you read this, please get my email off the blog register and send me an email. God has placed an idea in my heart that I hope will see Passion grow in its international influence for the fame of Jesus. It may be a lone shot to get you to contact me this way, but if God’s great enough to handle that!
Mike, even though I’ve never met you, because of the story of your daughter and what Jesus has done in my life, I can truly say that I love you and will be praying for you.
The words “Glory to God, Glory to God, Glory to God forever…” echo through my soul.
Glory to God! Praise His name! May the fame of Jesus spread like a wild-fire from our lives!
August 10th, 2008 at 2:18 am

August 10th, 2008 at 3:03 am
WOW WOW WOW
It’s not about Louis, it’s about GOD! It’s not about the band, it’s about Jesus! For about 6000 people to get that at once is absolutely amazing.
Thank you so much Passion team for all your work and love and passion. AND thank you DAD, for being so amazing, amazing, amazing and making all this happen…it’s for YOU!
I really learnt a lot about myself and about how it’s important to be “in my right mind” for the sake of others even when I’m bursting with the amzing realization of grace. It’s not that easy to be a “normal fruitcake”!
We are truely living in exciting times in SA right now. Christians are surrendering fully to Christ and claiming this nation for Him. “Loftus for Jesus” is also still fresh in my mind…may these meetings together be the fuel for building the “greater things that are yet to come”!
Cape Town…many of us here in Gauteng know some of you that will be there on Wednesday. We pray that the Lord will really meet you where you’re at and that you can be set on fire for him and his word and burst to share it with the student around you who “have no clue”!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
August 10th, 2008 at 3:05 am

August 10th, 2008 at 3:20 am
Ah my Jesus!
I am sure that everyone has said what I am about t say, but I was REALLY blessed yesterday!!!!!!!!!!
I have been in Joburg for a month now; I come from Cape Town and the company I work for has sent me here on training. This place has been a MASSIVE place of groth for me, and although I was really sceptical about coming here God has changed my mindset unbelievably.
I was driven into the city from Potchefstroom on Friday afternoon and as I saw the city appear in the horizon, I just BURST into tears and atrated speaking in a tongue I have never heard or spoken before. I was driving and crying my eyes out! I could not understand what was going on and asked ABBA, and he said he is giving me a love for Joburg; The same love I have fr my Cape Town; and that it is spreading to a deep love for Africa.
Loiue, I was honoured to hear the messages you brought yessterday. The Holy Sprirt was convicting me of my light, my lack of shining in the dark .To take his light, the ministry of reconciliation, to the los and dead world! God spoke to me about in January before I started working for the company who prodcues SA’s electricity… (You all know who that is…)
Thank you, and again thank you, for living for Him. ALL for him.
I read your blog on Thursday, the one you ended, All for Jesus.
That hit me squarely in the chest.
i have my ticket… I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN MY HOME TOWN ON WEDNESDAY… passion cape town here we come. Joburg is praying Cape Town!!!!!
God bless! For his fame. Shining for his glory!
Rob

-CAPETOWN- Praying for you
Psa 40:1 For the choir director: A psalm of David.
I waited patiently for the LORD to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
Psa 40:2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
Psa 40:3 He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be astounded.
They will put their trust in the LORD.
So may your lights shine bright in your CITY
Be Blessed.

August 10th, 2008 at 3:43 am
Passion is huge, really obeying what God commanded of us! To go out into all the world and make an impact for Christ!
A concept I’ve been struggling hit home after this conferrence!
I can do NOTHING on my own, I can only be like Christ if I have Christ’s fire burning inside of me! It is an awesome thing to realise that I am not living for myself but that my small 5 second flame is a part of a much greater fire!
Praying for Cape town, if one person gets the message there, it was worth it!
August 10th, 2008 at 3:48 am

All i can say is thank you, thank you and thank you. I was the kinda guy that once was totally in love with Jesus and then, as Louie said, my promise failed, and i was the one that drifted away. I then got addicted to pornography and i saw no way back. I tried to worship the way i did before, i tried to get back that feeling that i once felt, but i could not. Thanks to louie and the bands i got that feeling back. I now feel as though i have a family and even though the road ahead is full of temptations, i now feel as though i have a family of young people from all around the world that believe in me and are there for me. All i can say is what is sang:
I coming back to the heart of worship, and its all about YOU, its all about you JESUS!
Thanks again for helping me find myself and for making me understand that i can come as i am, no matter my past, no matter my problems, but come as i am to the Cross where my deby has been paid and my Savior waits for me with his arms open wide.
And i shall try as hard as i can to make others understand that they as well can come to the King as they are, just like i did:)
Glory to God, Glory to God, Glory to God FOREVER AND ALWAYS!

OH…MY…WORD!!!
What a day!!! I still hear the songs, and the crowds!!! And every now an then, I have this goofy smile that comes over me, just thinking back on how amazing yesterday was, and how amazing today and the rest of our lives in joburg are going to be.
I was more proud then ever to be a south african when as one voice we stood and praised the only name worth praising - and HE brought us together to show us just how powerful we can be, when we have HIM.
Thank you passion for comming to our beautiful country and leading us through an awesome day.
May your trip be as explosive as your love for GOD.
Bless you and may GOD keep you.
AMEN!!!

I’m so grateful that Passion came to S.A. And I mean - 2 stops in our country, what an honour!!! I absolutely loved the day in Jhb, even though I couldn’t be there for the entire event. It is just the most amazing thing when 6000 young ppl come together to praise 1 name: JESUS. How can we not make a difference in our country? Thanx to the entire Passion crew..and God bless!
PS: I absolutely luuurve Chris Tomlin’s music!
August 10th, 2008 at 4:06 am
Man what a day, it was soo great to be surrounded by so many similarly minded people. This country needs people to step up and be heard and let their lives be seen to be different because of what compels them deep down inside- the Love of Christ, the treasure we have inside, the overflow of getting what the cross is all about. Cape town have a brilliant life changing wednesday, you guys will be in our prayers, and thanks to everyone who made this whole event possible, i hope the passion in all of us keeps on burning brighter and bigger everyday!
peace like a river

Woke up this morning with the songs we sung on my heart. Had an absolute blast yesterday - got drunk in the presence of God and His glory!! 2 Cor 4 sums it all up so beautifully. Thank you for your wonderful work, Passion team - I pray that God would continue to pour out His blessing on you and through you.
August 10th, 2008 at 4:19 am
WOW WOW WOW!!!!
Finally you guys made it to South Africa (again) but this time for a full scale Passion event!
Like so many who posted comments so far, I can realy say: “I get it!”
It’s all about the cross, that’s it! Grace is for everyone! And if you ask God to make Him famous through your life, He’ll do it! No matter what!
I also have new hope that God can save my unsaved friends who has a hardened heart against God and accepting His grace. Keep praying and be real will get them there in the end, by the grace of God.
The words from “Mighty to save” really shook my world once again and made me realize how Big this God is that we serve and that our lives and songs, transcend time and generations.
God is really doing something in our country and we believe that greater things are yet to come for Jo’burg, Pretoria and the graeter Gauteng area.
Cape Town, get ready!!!! Stellenbosch, GAAN GROOT!!!!
Thank you Louie and the team for making God famous in our generation and making much of the cross of Jesus Christ
Praying for you, Cape Town and all the rest of the world tour.
To Christ be the glory!!!
August 10th, 2008 at 4:19 am
Hey everyone.
I firstly just want to thank God for making the whole event possible and allowing us to be a part of it. IT was AWESOME. I realised through the fruitcake story that we can make a big difference in other peoples lives just by living like Jesus said we must. We can make a huge change in somebody’s life just by expressing our faith everyday, you don’t have to do something big, small things can also imact a person. Thanks to the whole passion team and to Louie Giglio. We are praying for Cape Town. And Chris Tomlin, you have the most beautiful and purest voice I have ever heard.
August 10th, 2008 at 4:22 am
Passion JoBurg was one of the most amazing Jesus praising, glory giving and honour giving celebration events I’ve been to in my entire life!
The next one you must be sure to get a bigger hall, ‘coz if there are some people like me, that’s taking everyone they know to the next one, that place is gonna be much to small!
Will keep praying for CT to be lifted up in even a greater way than Joburg!
Blessings to All!

How GREAT is our God!!!!
6000+ people meant it yesterday - guys, lets mean it tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after…for the rest of our days! ALL GLORY TO OUR GOD!!!
August 10th, 2008 at 4:54 am
Amazing Amazing Amazing Amazing!
I can not describe in words what an amazing feeling it was being there! God is definitely working in Sout Africa.
We must remember that being together with Christians it’s easy to praise and worship Jesus. In the real world where you are alone it is not so easy, it is then that you have to shine your light so bright that the people around you will see something different in you. May God be with every student and may the Holy Spirit lead you to where he wants to use you!
YES LORD!!!
August 10th, 2008 at 4:57 am

WOW! WOW! WOW! Passion JHB was absolutely amazing. It was an experience i would never forget. Seeing so many people praising God for his greatness and praising Jesus for becoming our sin and forgiving us of our sins, setting us free to live a life for Him, was awesome.
Just wanted to say thank you to all that helped in making this experience such a memorable one. I enjoyed every moment of it and really felt more connected with God.
I also Pray that Cape Town will have an awesome time and that God will work wonders in their lives. God Bless all of Capetown.

This is the morning after…Passion Johannesburg 2008.
I got up a while ago and as I am sitting here I am still in “the zone”- The worship and songs kept playing through my head the whole night while I was sleeping and they still are-Evidence of being and dancing in the River of God…
Louie,I am one of the crowd that bugged you about not being a student anymore but loving what passion stands for and plugging into it! Although I am not on campus anymore I live , work and play on the campus of life and there is a lot of Fruitcake work to be done.Ashley and Fruitcake’s life story encouraged me again: To keep up with my journal:-), not so it could be used in the same way as Ashley’s but simply to keep record of God’s awesome ways in my life and to build altars of His glory that shines out of my screwd-upness and brokeness.Secondly, although hard I must admit that there were many times in my life where I so badly wanted to bring accross the beauty and freedom of God’s truth that I sometimes treated people harshly with my words.I realised sometime ago and yesterday evening acutely again that I must have come across as really spiritually proud, uncaring and judgmental.I know that many have misunderstood my heart and I am so sad about the wasted opportunities to love. I am convinced again that I don’t want to look like a super fruitcake from outside by saying the right things the wrong way , but to rather saying less and be just a real fruitcake by showing a caring attitude.Thank you Louie for just being you and being real-that is what we need to combat pride and religious attitudes.
The cross of Jesus Christ-All that I want to say is:”Will I ever really know how much it cost to see my sin upon the cross”.The journey continues!
Thank you Passion team for loving God, being yourselves and showing both to the world.Thank you for having faith in Jesus and helping to awaken it in others all over the world.I share your passion and your dream to see this generation make God famous.
Cape Town-town of my heart,(Louie will remember us cheering wildly for you in the Jo;burg event)-I pray that you will open yourselves
