I just wanted to share an experience I had tonight that brought back memories of passion 2007. I’m abroad in the Philippines spending 4 months doing missions here and attended a Re-ignite conference today and one of the guest speakers was Heidi Baker. The best part of the entire night was the praise and worship- they love to sing here and most of the songs were Tomlin, Crowder and Redman’s. :) There were several thousand people there of all ages engaged in worshiping the King- and the message Louie gave on Heaven and the party that’s going to take place came to mind. I felt like we had a taste of that tonight- as there were only a few of us white Americans amongst thousands of people of another culture and language- but we were all worshiping the King of Kings. It’s going to be one Giant party when we get to heaven and I can’t wait!!
Praise God for what he has done since Passion 07 and continues to do- and if you haven’t read Heidi Baker’s book- Always Enough- you should- she’s a woman of God that has lived miracles of Bible times and has made them every day events.

We, the students of Passion 07, collectively redistributed one million dollars to people who desperately need it.

By modern standards of charity, that's absolutely amazing. But consider this: We, the students of Passion 07, collectively paid over two million dollars in registration fees to attend Passion 07.

Two million dollars, compared to one million dollars. By simple math, we don't love our neighbors as ourselves: we love ourselves twice as much as we love our neighbors in need.

One million dollars in four days is a shocking statistical anomaly, and a bold testament to the power of God through believers in the world today, but we should not be content with merely impressing the world when we can turn it upside-down!

I know that this has nothing to do with the post, but I have a problem and I don’t know what else to do about it. I hear about everybody who has “fallen in love” with Christ. I went to a SL conference in Daytona and I recieved Christ, but I didn’t “fall in love” with Him. There was an immediate change in myself and I obviously had an outwards change because my family, friends, and church noticed and I became sort of a leader among our youth. But, I don’t have passion or love for Christ and I don’t understand howe I can. I can’t force myslef to feel that way. I’ve tried everything from praying to reading the Word to going to talks and reading devotionals and books about the subject. Nothing is working. I am really scared of where my faith is going to end up, as well as everyone who looks to me as a leader. Please help me…

When my brother and I decided to go to Passion ‘07 last year, we had no idea how much it would impact our lives. My brother is currently one of the 21 students teaching in Iraq at the Freedom Center, and I have been to Africa twice on missions trips. Both of us feel called to missions and although it is ultimately God’s doing, Passion certainly put the fire in us! Thank you so much!
