Only a few months late here, but I was reading the back entries during lunch, and I have to say I thought the dual venues worked way, way, way better than expected. My friends and I went to GWCC grumbling about how we were going to be stuck with some worship leader we'd never heard of and wouldn't know the songs or be able to really get into it, and I have to say Steve Fee helped us call down the Holy Spirit in an amazing way, and the main session I had in GWCC might have been my favorite. It was awesome to see how much everyone participated and cheered, even knowing Francis Chan couldn't hear or see them.

Sounds like a cool idea! Especially for those who may not be able to make it there. It is more cool live, but if it could all over the world too, now cool can it get! Awesome idea!

This is unbelievable the rate of growth of Passion. I would like to encourage you to maybe go the next step. It maybe too late this year. But to invite the whole world to be involved at the same time with the conference. Have campus groups or churches set up internet viewing points. They would follow the same outline of workshops and prayer groups as would be happening at the central Passion Conference. Each internet point would be a mirror of what was going on from the broastcast point. Have a small fee to cover internet cost.
Even if it was broadcasted live on internet I still feel you would have the same growth as you are experiencing now. Let's face it. When we talk and walk HIs Glory. It was met to Grow For His Glory.
Just a thought.
As you can tell I can't go. But like last year I will be praying for you all. Each session! And each Day.
God Bless you all.

Wow - how big is God!

Phillips Arena's seating capacity for concerts is listed at 21,000. My guess is the capacity for Passion is less because there is typically some open floor space, and unused area behind the stage, but assume for a second it's 16,000.

If people are spending 2 of 7 sessions in the GWCC then that's probably the ratio of GWCC to PA, which means that there will be about 5,000 people in GWCC!

I would rather be in a session with Chris, David, Matt or Charlie leading live worship and 5,000 full-on worshippers than I would be hanging from the rafters with 21,000.

Is it possible for 5,000 to seem more intimate?

Can you sign up to be exclusively in the smaller venue?

How about volunteers will they finally get to be a part of the smaller venue with live worship? That'll only raise it to 6,000 or so.

Sounds great! This must be a God thing that there are so many people. Passion 07 will be awesome with so many people. For us that are still to young to attend we'll be waiting for the years when we can come!
