I didn’t find this post until just now, but I wanted you to know that I go to Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC. We heard about the news right after it happened. As a student chaplain at the school, we took a time of silence and prayer for Taylor during the chapel service that day we found out. The “thunder of the saints” is interceding for you, Taylor U., and for the mourning families.

This has nothing to do with the BLOG, but Louie’s talks on the website — the PASSPORT series — talk #1, the mpeg4 plays for about three minutes and cuts off. I’ve tried several times the last couple of weeks and it always stops at the same place. Just wanted to let someone know. Thanks for sharing the Word!

Praying for those at Taylor University.

Louie, I am so looking forward to hearing you speak at the National Day of Prayer event here in Lancaster, PA tomorrow night! By the grace of God, I was able to have the night off of work and now I can make the event. Will there be a time for us to meet you at any point? Praying for your safe trip here to Amish Country. Make sure to get some shoo fly pie while you’re here–yum!

Wow. I'm a member of a worship ministry that just returned from leading a conference in S. Korea over the last week. While we were there, we met a teacher at the school we were working with who was finishing his student teaching there before heading back to graduate from Taylor University in May. He told us of a friend of his, and some other students who had died in a car accident the night before.
We prayed for him, and the loss at Taylor half way around the world. . . Our God is so much bigger than anything we could ever imagine.
Brian (the teacher in Korea) asked us to play Blessed Be the name of the Lord during our final worship time together. What a powerful reminder . . . in the midst of tragedy and loss, the Lord's name is to be praised.

The news of this breaks my heart. It was only a little over a year ago when a Taylor University student who died after being hit by a van. Despite who horrible this is, God will use this tragedy ... He will reign GLORIOUS!

I'm praying for Taylor University and I cannot imagine the pain felt across the campus.
